mild in Melb today...we note Sydney the crazy city to viccos Nth are embracing approx. 20deg C.

thought Bears should start obs for this period too....

warm enough in Sydney to wear next to nothing.....:p

and old Adelaide is going for a similar max..of 20deg C...

Snow Cam at Mt Selwyn showing degradation of a small snow base.....not so good..

I observe that the Bears should put some pants on ;)

Not as warm in Sydney today, especially in comparison to yesterday. Mild and damp.

A minimum of 17C in Sydney last night after 25C yesterday, wouldn't be out of place in November/December

Bears not sure how to process the temp situation here... we thought Central Australia had cooled down..and Alice Springs had pretty low temps just recently(max) so how r things heating up so fast....

and last week it was practically snowing in Gisborne early in working week...but things to our north some 700km or so are getting hotter fast...

61ml for Umina Beach NSW over the last 24 hours. Still 99% humidity at 16c.

BoM was calling half that at best so a big upgrade

Lets hope that the cold air gets here, and gets here fast

In another life I spent a couple of years living at Marg River, full moon almost always meant good swell. Seems a full moon often brings good snow as well, fingers crossed :)

Moderate flooding forecast for Macquarie River in Dubbo tonight. Pretty amazing considering the major dams are capturing the runoff from the upper catchment. Will close the Newell Highway bridge tonight so traffic chaos expected in town.

Mt P has been great this morning - snow holding up on Sun Valley & Towers. Front & Centre Valleys also great early. First very light drops of rain at 11.20. The wet begins. Bring on the cold & await Saturday.

I observe I am holed up in blue cow terminal. Very Light rain from late morning. Heavy misty rain since midday. very low vis. It seems this moisture has not stuck as far north as we'd hoped. Bring on the cold air.
