Bears not sure how to process the temp situation here... we thought Central Australia had cooled down..and Alice Springs had pretty low temps just recently(max) so how r things heating up so fast.... and last week it was practically snowing in Gisborne early in working week...but things to our north some 700km or so are getting hotter fast... .

61ml for Umina Beach NSW over the last 24 hours. Still 99% humidity at 16c. BoM was calling half that at best so a big upgrade Lets hope that the cold air gets here, and gets here fast
In another life I spent a couple of years living at Marg River, full moon almost always meant good swell. Seems a full moon often brings good snow as well, fingers crossed

Moderate flooding forecast for Macquarie River in Dubbo tonight. Pretty amazing considering the major dams are capturing the runoff from the upper catchment. Will close the Newell Highway bridge tonight so traffic chaos expected in town.
heavy rain at albury - looking like it might miss Hotham, Falls looks vulnerable. NSW resorts in line according to Yarrawonga radar
