I observe I just had to drive down late this afternoon to Thredbo to sleep in the ute in the overnight carpark. Just hope I can get out of ute in the morning!
Whats your set up like?
No, GuthegaI I think, from the description.
Does look a bit like Wendix. A bit wider though and trees either side not as dense
True, it was the off fall line that had me thinking it was Hotham. I'd love to ride that line where ever it is
Canopy on the back with lining to prevent condensation, -5 sleeping bag and thermals.
Looked like a perfect day for those new planks................
Tonight looks epic on Sat pic.
It's looking down Milk Run at Guthega toward the bottom of Freedom Chair
yeah, it really does!
Creek seems to have stopped flowing, could it be the piles of snow?
Need a Buffalo Deptho, there is only 1 way
Looks a lot steeper than a green run, perspective is everything
Stay on topic.
Yep . Payday !
Sorry Claude, gotta ask..........what did you think of them today?
i observe a bullseye
Good mate ,really good .
Spotted them for exactly this type of day.
Bigger hill for sure the 188 be the go to , but in amongst the trees and obstacles the shorter slarve was sweet as .
Glad you like em, I love em, so versatile (soft bias).
Looks like you might need em again tomoz.
The fat lady hasn't sung yet
'Melbourne mafia' would Never.
Radar looks sweet.
Best winter in years for waves in Victoria on the reefs.
And about an hour until the main event hits...
Then there's the rest....
Yes mate. It's big.
Large but not big?
Pretty special day on Perisher, covered so much terrain from Mt P all the way to Ridge before 1pm.
First tracks Leichardt and Mt P before it was tracked out and the vis lowered were sweet as well as some stupidly good and empty Rock Garden drops.
Ridge really emptied out before it was put on hold, with windblow filling in our tracks on every lap.
Stoked! Beat Normo up as well I think
Looking like a good ring-out of moisture as it hits Western Vic. Nothing like the last few evenings IMO.
The best chance will come from some localised instability early tomorrow AM.
The last few frames of this is just something else: http://www.weatherzone.com.au/radar/vic
Only 10mm on the BOM weather gauge this AM, I wonder how much has blown in as well?
Perisher going with 15cm.
Cold and windy, seems feasible
Yep, within expectations.
Thredbo with 20 cm, Hotham 15cm and Buller 5cm
Thredbo has gotta be looking good up high now at least, this sort of wind makes for some great skiing up there, even if its not as much vertical as the full mountain.
Must be a good day! Keen folk in five cars spent half the night in smiggins car park riding out the storm and snow plow.
Wind has died in Thredbo village
Table o meter says two cents down low
Dark and gloomy though
DOes it look like more precip or just ...
Ceaderwood cam makes me happy
Another band of rain just pushing through south east suburbs of melb. Cold, cold, rain. 6.5 degrees here.
Plenty of fresh at Ben Lomond, Tassie as well.
Almost the best coverage i have seen on Ben
Cover building nicely at Mt Mawson as well.
