Melbourne's main radar is down. Satellite is showing the cloud associated with the trough not too far from Melbourne.

Quick report from perisher - 10 to 15 WNW in the morning, very sheltered in most areas (WNW appears to be perisher goldilocks zone). Steady throughout the day. Saw first signs of windy change about 3:30 on Mt Perisher - spindrift being blown off the westerly slopes falling throughout the valley. Just got back to the lodge about 5 and the real buster has arrived - will check the wind gauge shortly but I'd say its up around the 30-40 kph area.
Overall, very nice day in the resort, wind was absolutely fine for almost all slopes.

Was windy all day in Adelaide, but nothing now. Temps warm this morning, but very cold during the day. A reasonable rain band during the day, not sure what to make of this for the snow fields...

I observe my opening week of the season has been spoilt by pinging a string when trying to avoid a clown who wanted to ride over the top of my ski's on Wednesday so out for 2-3 weeks according to the doc.
Now at home I observe the NW wind is unusually warm for this time of year.
Not liking either of these 2 developments.

Notably improved conditions in Melb Eastern Suburbs this morning...little breeze, blue skies some Brocken cloud..CC is probably able to make headway on his bicycle without too much torment !All high peaks failed to have temps falling below zero over last 24hours.

Severe Weather Warning for Vicco lifted around five this morning by BOM.
