Yes. But it's spring and Buller is certainly showing it. No powder, so I will go out later though today.

Snow systems usually slow down at this time of year. We have a good base (for Aussie resorts), and most of the resorts are fully open.

I am looking forward to heaps more sun, it's better than spring rain...

Though, do we actually have a isothermic snow and a melt/freeze cycle yet? Just saying "spring" doesn't make it so...

IMO, spring observations should now include an estimate of "corn o'clock", aka the rough time of day that the snow starts to soften. I'll do my best at Thredbo this weekend.

Agree. It was sunny today but the whole Southside of Buller remained firm and the fresh snow from the last couple of days was dry on top.

Of course it was soft on the Northside but today was a sunny winter's day.

    Very nice day at Buller.
Slushy on Cow Camp and Dam Run.
Nice firm bumps on the Southside.
Suspect quite a few people had the Friday off, as queues were getting quite big in the usual spots.

Fair, technically not. But it certainly is getting to the stage. Can't wait for the corn to come out.

Carbon copy day today to all week here in Thredbo. Clear cold at the top. Good chalky snow off piste. Groomers remaing firm till the very bottom.
