Please continue your Observations here. Sorry for the delay. Observations only.
More wintery and less mix now I think.I observe 'wintery mix' on the High Noon and Blue Cow live cams.
Can confirm!Heavy snow for a while at hotham. Trees bare to white in an hour.
Really dropped in the last hour, big wet flakes down to 1500m at Thredbo now, sleet in the villageLooking at cams seems to indicate snow to around 1700m in NSW, maybe slightly lower.
Merritts Cam at Thredbo (1660m) does look like snow but rather wet at the same time too.
Send it Huey!!
Is definitely warmer than 0, but surprisingly stickingThis is a good chart to explain why Dendrites (classic shape) can exist at close to Zero and then much colder conditions.
Super saturation at near to zero.

BOM, Jane and @POW Hungry all predicted some snow this week. BOM specifically mentioned high chance today. But was always looking marginal.I observe snow stake at Perisher slowly building ….was this expected?
Yeah today was the day for gains, if any.BOM, Jane and @POW Hungry all predicted some snow this week. BOM specifically mentioned high chance today. But was always looking marginal.
BB smashed by r**n. LM not much better but might hold up due to more regular grooming. Need next system for top up down South. Meanwhile, at FC, big fat flakes.I observe shite a BB sadly.
Don't be mean**Paging Mt Buller**
How'd they do today in the predominant Westerly? Obs looked dodgy.
We got a decent dousing overnight followed by about 5cm of wet snow (big flakes!) yesterday morning. It got wet for a very short period when the wind went westerly but fortunately the incoming moisture then dried up at that point. I went out snowboarding with my daughter in the afternoon and came home dry - a Buller rarity! Cover still amazing for this time of year although I noted Buller have now pro-actively piled up quite a lot of snow at some of the lower lift sites!**Paging Mt Buller**

Hotham has Feathertop and the Razorback to thank for snow when some other resort to the south doesn’t have either.Hotham did really well yesterday as it kept snowing pretty much all day even at around 5pm it was still going. Surprised a lot of the other folk up here when they woke up to snow on the trees. Good result considering the rain the night before and the resort looked great still and better as the day went on.
I observe a bit more still this morning and chilly but not a lot happening out there, which probably means it’s an okay morning for a ski![]()
How is the coverage at the bottom of Nth side?It sure is wet at Buller today though! Couple of laps, B&E at Tirol and going home to do some work. Snow is great, weather is foul.

I observe lower Tyrol is the Lowest lifted point in Victoria and very close to the altitude of Friday flat - but without the frost hollow/ cold nights and snowmaking…Nice, thanks for that.
You’d take that mid July to August let alone June.
