Cruiser cam now looks like it's sleeting at times. Might almost be time to get out there.

Mixed bag at Perisher today. Wet early. Turned to solid snow above 1800 ASL circa 9:00 a.m. and continued to around 11:00 a.m. Was filling the gaps nicely with more than 5 cms and a final burst of snow before it stopped. Skied fine. Heavy fog and moisture then rolled in.

Base of Eyre pic I took just before it stopped. Post that it may have changed but was time to head out. A few forumites still there so may have a better update.

Currently in PV carpark its mizzle.

Looking at cams seems to indicate snow to around 1700m in NSW, maybe slightly lower.

Merritts Cam at Thredbo (1660m) does look like snow but rather wet at the same time too.

Northern Beaches, Sydney,
Properly snowing here. Heavy and wet, but just floating down

BOM, Jane and @POW Hungry all predicted some snow this week. BOM specifically mentioned high chance today. But was always looking marginal.
Yeah today was the day for gains, if any.
Probably did 5 cents or so above my expectations (5-10cm).
Looks like it's still coming down in some resorts, so we've done well today (above 1600m) given the dousing the resorts got last night.

Hotham did really well yesterday as it kept snowing pretty much all day even at around 5pm it was still going. Surprised a lot of the other folk up here when they woke up to snow on the trees. Good result considering the rain the night before and the resort looked great still and better as the day went on.

I observe a bit more still this morning and chilly but not a lot happening out there, which probably means it’s an okay morning for a ski :)

How'd they do today in the predominant Westerly? Obs looked dodgy.
We got a decent dousing overnight followed by about 5cm of wet snow (big flakes!) yesterday morning. It got wet for a very short period when the wind went westerly but fortunately the incoming moisture then dried up at that point. I went out snowboarding with my daughter in the afternoon and came home dry - a Buller rarity! Cover still amazing for this time of year although I noted Buller have now pro-actively piled up quite a lot of snow at some of the lower lift sites!

Hotham has Feathertop and the Razorback to thank for snow when some other resort to the south doesn’t have either.

A tale of aspect. Here’s a shot that shows water damage despite the fresh snow.

Here’s another couple of pics just to the leeward of the above. Gentle leeward terrain amongst snowgums that catches the snow. Most of the little gullies and creeks in there are covered. Probably 10 cms on average. Skied nicely.
