How sad was that yesterday? Tear-jerking stuff, kind of like that mid-October feeling.
^^Yeah its been snowing pretty consistantly here in Jindy for about the last hour but only really settling on the hills, was just out at Wollondibby Road (Thredbo Valley maybe 1050-1100m) was writing on a note pad outside in the snow, pages didn't get wet, nice dry flakes, Bring it on for a kick **** Saturday morning!!
I should also note that its not windy, flakes coming pretty much straight down here in Jindabyne
Does anybody feel like fixing the Thredbo cams? Most haven't updated since yesterday, or in the case of the Basin, 1974.
I guess I'll leave those golf clubs at home then!!!
Jindy gets snow when it is from the SE as the mountains don't block its path. The problem is that sometimes this snow won't get up to the mountains.
About to hop in the car and start the long trek from Sydney so I hope that there is no snow on the road.
Keep us updated Tbirdfly
a fun day at Buller today - started snowing early and got quite heavy around mid morning, not sure how much, but the skies cleared to a sunny afternoon and had some great runs down LBS and Summit - taking the rugrats out now, not a bad day considering the prognosis last night.
P.S. just booked a month in Silver Star for Jan '07 this a.m. so we have that to look forward to now as well
PB claiming 15cms in last 24hrs
Even in summertime it is hard to get your bearings with that cam. It's a shocker.
Thredbo reporting 25cm!
They must fall fatter there
Anyone would think you didn't believe the Thredbo marketing hype!
It's stopped snowing in Jindy now, rain has all but stopped too, east Jindabyne hills look nice and white though. No worries about snow on the roads until you get to the park entry gates according to local radio.
Brilliant time for my first weekend off since opening weekend...
Nothing at Lake Mountain. It's bloody cold but no precipitation. Just wanna cry - it's not bloody fair
We want pictures!
there won't be in the morning - roads will be all clear. precip has all moved up to sydney and there will have been plenty of time to clear the roads.
i'm just about to head off too
i think it is amazing that at thredbo snow falls in 5cm increments. just amazing.
Your just jelous Verm. NSW kicks butt AGAIN!!!! Woo Hoo- who's up for fresh POW tomorrow.
Not like you to bag Thredbo, JD.
Anyway, I skied there today and can vouch for the 25cm up high. Boot to shin deep.
Noice. You lucky, lucky boy. Day of the season?
Don't feel too bad mate. The BOM didn't pick it either.
Just thought id repeat myself. Was bandaging a few slit wrists, and mopping up blood off the floor for you guys when i posted that.
I'm gonna say 2nd best. Although my run through Golf Course was probably the best run for the season.
Heli jnr reports about 25cm @ Perisher today: about the same as we got at Dinner Plain
Don't, you're making me cry.
About six inches of dry snow fell this morning. Turned to snot very quickly though. Dried out a bit again in the arvo.
The fall was nothing to write home about but we definately need it after yesterdays misery. Should keep us on track till mid september.
Heaps of core shots today, lot's of sharks out there.
Hopefully the punters will pack it down for my next days off.
bugga.... canned my day trip to Thredbo today and spent the morning pouring concrete in the p&$#ing rain. But happy for my 3 dayer at PB resurrected of sorts next w'end. praying for a cold cold week.
This is what we needed, I feel a vibe that I thought
was on hold for next season!
Time now to rip it up!
The Australian way that the glass is always 1/2 full not half empty.

Spring skiing today at PB. Loads of sunshine and hard pack in the morning and soft in the afternoon.
This cover won't last long into Sept but at least it is skiing.
Clear and calm day at Thredbo yesterday. Nice cover up top, ice in the middle and slush down the bottom.
