Short, sharp system possible over the 22nd and 23rd ...
This has shown up in the last few EC runs.

Clipper with high pressure. Are we really getting excited over this kind of thing?

I think the period around the 28th looks the most interesting .

Looks like there's a chance a high will park itself in just the right spot IMO.

    Just EC.
Spag has always been Ok for this period.
Look at the thickness and the cold air boundaries behind the front.
    5400 5360...5320 very close together

Yeah OK i'm a little interested. I think it's peaking a little early though, so downgrades in the coming runs wouldnt surprise me.

Upper levels arent super-cold, but they are definitely encouraging. Most importantly, progression is logical. Although LWT hasnt fully brought this one in, yet.

Fairly typical GFS "all in" update at 144 hours after missing the system for 60 hours ...

We should be getting the 00 UTC update shortly. I'm kind of expecting it to back off a bit.

    ... as I expected.
Latest EC has it peaking a little too far to the west for best effect IMO
It will wobble around a bit yet, but too soon to be calling how big this system will be.

GFS is hilarious, but it actually makes some sense. LWT really has woken up this arvo, it's game on.
