I predict it's going to be another nice weekend of lockdown weather watching/cam grazing
I’m going to dig my car out this arvo. I need to get CG’s bday present out of the boot which I very fortuitously put in there just in case lockdown got extended.

Hopefully the neighbours do the same and there’s a fresh car in the cam for the next round.

Or you could just dig theirs out for them....

Minor reduction in totals in Vic (Hotham) vs yesterday but still plenty enough to keep this locked down ski-tragic dreaming of powder runs down Mary's...

How the temps looking on the backend?
Monday AM looks ok, temps-wise.
Monday midday to midnight (~12 hours) of winter mix stuff to 1700m, rain below.

Tuesday looks like rain to me for Aus resorts, bar a couple hours super-early Tuesday, where marginal.

Wednesday? Top to bottom resorts snow IMO.

As backed by Jane (she's the meteo... not me ;) )

Snow from Friday to Monday, heaviest later Saturday and on Sunday, Warming on Monday. More snow next Wednesday.

40 TO 80 CM FROM FRIDAY TO MONDAY (HIGHER VALUES FOR HIGHER PEAKS). 20 TO 30 CM NEXT WEDNESDAY.

A low crosses NSW on Friday, bringing light but fairly steady snow to the alps, on Friday and Saturday morning.

Then a conveyor belt of cold fronts lines up, crossing southeastern Australia daily until Tuesday. Precipitation increases later Saturday, and deep cold air arrives - with snow likely to around 500m on Sunday morning. The precipitation continues through Monday and there’s a bit more on Tuesday… but the cold air weakens, with snow only falling above 1700m by Monday afternoon and staying that way for Tuesday.

Below 1700m we are looking at 40 to 60 cm of snow from Friday through to Monday morning.

Above that it should add up to 60 to 80 cm of snow from Friday to Tuesday.

The next cold front arrives early on Wednesday, and rain quickly changes to snow. A short, sharp burst, clearing on Thursday morning, after another 20 to 30 cm of snow.

Then there is a weak system brushing us next Friday at this stage.

Now that’s what you call a dump.
5 days of sustained snowfall.

Zoom out and you see the sea level snowfall that @POW Hungry is talking about on the Shipwreck Coast.

Even possible for Cape Bridgewater according to EC.
Mt. Richmond is about 100m ish - I’d be gobsmacked!
