Interim shortwave showing up on EC & GFS the past few days, with reasonable alignment.
Quick system as a result of the trailing ridge. Ridging influence may take over.
i.e. The Canuck suggests total ridge out this AM.
IMO falls of 5-15cm are likely.

From the silence over the past 24 hours, can we safely assume that this little system is dead....??

Still some divergence (EC swung tonight).
    Not a lot in it.
Still the chance of 5cm above 1600m - better than rain or a NW'ly hair dryer.

But then nothing else next week, as was postulated in the BBQ thread earlier last week?

Sounds like the 'potential' beginning of spring touring season?

    If the winds back off?

EC going for a more conservative 10-15cm.

Punter question so apologies, but I need to decide between taking a Camry with free petrol or the 4wd to Thredbo this weekend. What is the likelihood of chains being enforced on Sunday?

Depending on how far your drive......wouldnt it still work our cheaper to hire or even buy yourself a set?
