Olympic looking prettier.
10c and windy in Jindy. One dog by the fire, the other refusing to come in (situation normal). Can see a dusting on the hills.
I observe guns on at Perisher front valley...lol Keen!
Testing I imagine.
Change just BLEW into Lithgow
Only visiting Bright, otherwise I would be happy to provide regular pics.
Getting breezy here in Sydney.
Smells and looks like a 'snowy' system from Sydney for sure.
Looks like a dusting of snow above ~1800m for NSW resorts - hate to say it, but as expected.
And it looks just like that from Punchbowl, Lakemba and Parramatta.....well, nearly.
6c in Jindy now.
9am driving from Redfern to Forestville - 23 degrees
4pm driving from Forestville to Frenchs Forest - 14 degrees
That temperature drop...
yet with in a couple of degs at PV.
Apparently the Buller slushy machine has been officially put to work for the season.
Great for fuel economy.
Great shot! In Victoria this would result in a nice big fine for an unsecured load. That's if the car hadn't rolled.
Got to love the 'home of the free'.
Looking South to Bawley Point this arvo .
Six point 5 degrees when I arrived home. I may have fallen asleep on the dog bed in front of the fire
Spoke to a staff member over easter who said they will run anytime "off-peak power" in May, they were already to go on the easter weekend. Come june, they run when its cold enough regardless of electricity cost.
Wow, a 10C difference between the top of Perisher Valley and the Village.
-5 at Thredbo Top Station.
Cams reveal a dusting of snow across all resorts overnight, down to maybe 1400m.
Bit of a fizzer really. What happened to the 30mm that G-Frog-S was forecasting?
@Claude Cat was bang on the money - not a lot of moisture in the system
Friday Flat 1365M
We got it but it was the clear stuff .
Before the cold drier air.
see #65 ^^
Heavy frost on the other side too !.
I thought about 1300m yesterday. I did this off the Skew-T.
9pm Last night, the current run.
I note Baw Baw and Hotham specifically and Vic generally did better this time. Not a total fizzer.
(I'm sure next week it will NSW's turn!) ❄️
5cm for Vic, dusting to 3cm for NSW. Exactly what most were expecting IMO.
Seems about right, but very warm inversion above 3k, this would've inhibited much snow below the FL.
Yep. And just a tad warm for Baw Baw, they would have done well otherwise.
How much snow do you think fell above 2000m in NSW ?
Minus three and snowing lightly at Hotham. Sleeting at about 1300 asl.
all of it
Oh nice picnic tables in that Hotham picture!
Little bit of snow to build the hopes of snow users...........
Still in Melb this morning.....some cloud with a bit of sunshine..front has gone
Lightly snowing on me in Thredbo Village now.
Care to hazard a guess on snow depth?
Thredbo Top Station has 5-10 in the can after the freeze yesterday morning.
