Most Vic resorts seem to have lifts on windhold. On my way to Falls atm, will share observations once there.

Sydney on track for it's driest September on record with just 0.2mm recoded so far on 14th.

Grass is turning very brown at my place.

I remember Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Some venues got 40+ in those last 2 weeks of September.

Let's agree to disagree. The BOM had never observed a 40C+ temperature in NSW in September until yesterday. Wanaaring held the old record at 39.6C on 28/9/04. It looks like it may be even hotter mid this week with a few sites forecast to reach 42C.

No snow on the cams- looks like a total fizzer, or has the really cold air not arrived yet?
It's a fizz, models backed right away from the moisture all together over the weekend. The 'cold air' arrived late yesterday hence why freeze level are around 1700m Should see some snow showers today and temps to drop a touch further this evening, but moisture 'aint there. Radar says it all.

I observe from general social media posts that we lost somewhere in the vicinity of 40-80cm of base over the weekend across the resorts.

I observe Thredbo looks better at this time of the season, than it has for nearly 20 years. Still proper T2B riding on a deep spring cover. There is a fair bit of cloud about, may get some snow showers,..,,

Cold and wet this morning in Melb.
Wind velocity well down now.
That buffeting wind has abated thank Gxx.

It was winding up the Bears something shocking !
Too many positive ions maybe....they were getting really ratty :emoji_dancers: :emoji_dancers:

It appears that the first band of showers has past by.

Some moments of snow in amongst the light rain and sago that has fallen pretty much all morning at Falls. Cover is extensive still but it's very heavy and slow.

I'm not convinced we could call it a fizz though.
It's never really looked all that good for quantity of snow.
