I am no expert, but I expect it to be here this evening or late this arvo as it is moving pretty quickly. IMO

Yeh, starts this evening, and should be done, on the whole, by early afternoon tomorrow. IMO
I'd say looking at 15-25cm depending where you are.

Thanks. Unfortunately I have a bunch of meetings so don't think I can make it down tomorrow... currently planning to be sick for Thurs tho. Hopefully can't find a few fresh tracks here or there.

    I'd expect snow on them.

    Yep i think your right.

It think this is the Business end of the extended period. I like this is because it seems to be developing over the continent.

This is flying under the radar.

I predict Spencers wil nudge 180 cm by Thursday

I've always though each part of this extended system was going to deliver roughly 25cm (4 parts), my initial call was a minimum of 50cm for the lot with 75cm as a starting point.

    Okay.

Well I calculated about 80 to 90 mm since the end of Fridays carnage at Perisher AWS

I like how this systems is developing over us as opposed to hitting us. I really like this and I watching keenly how it develops today.

We could almost have 300 mm for this event including rain.

Todays should have some good duration as well. The leading edge is just starting to bring some shower into Greater Melbourne, with the tail end of it still well into the Bight.

We are looking at it being over 600klm wide, from East to West so it should mean steady snow for at least 10 hours IMO.

Another band lining up and heading toward the alpine areas. Still plenty of cold air to come.

Goooood evening from Tumbarumba :D. Great looking wedge of cloud approaching from wsw , nice colour to them as well , very nearly nil wind atm , temp decreasing at my machinery shed currently sitting at 0.3c.
Going out on a limb , graziers nose style , and I will predict 30 - 40 cms for the major NSW resorts , maybe a little less for Selwyn.

I concur with the optimistic predictions for tonights front. I also predict later tomorrow into Thursday will see the run of good snow quality come to an end with a still somewhat moist but also milder westerly flowing setting up shop.

Winds easing by mid morning 40-50km/h (~60km/h on the peaks). IMO I wouldn't expect any wind hold beyond this.
