Might as well kick it off with a little Satview as the first system moves through the Bight.
Solid band walling up South of Ceduna.

Winds should strengthen throughout Western Vic this arvo.

Up up Falls Creek now. It's 5c with a light breeze blowing, cooling down since we got here at midday. Was about 6c then.

    Overcast with clouds rolling in.

Winds still NW which may be a good sign of lower temps in the front. Looks to be a few hours until the really cold air.

Quite a mixed drive home between airport and sunbury - winds pushing me all over the road, rain pouring on and off and a decent lights show. Nice to have some weather after the placid times lately.

Seems to have downgraded a fair bit overnight for my area. No wind , a smattering of rain , registers 0.3 mm and not much else. Seems the Tuesday event is going the same way. Another false dawn in late May.

V quick to write it off. Models only suggest a few mm for you this AM. I anticipate you'll see some heavier stuff this arvo.
But yes, Tuesday looks far from inspiring.

Snow on top a Perisher and temps dropping. 1.9 in the village and snowing on some of the lower cams but as yet not settling. Should be good in a few hours.

Think it's snowing up higher. I'm at QT on the Bogong high plains road so slightly lower. Very marginal at the moment.

There some ice mix in the corner of my balcony but the rest is rain rain rain.

I'd expect marginal for the next couple of hours. It's reliant on adiabatic effects (43kms from the NNW) until the colder uppers move mid-late morning.

I observe flakage on South Perisher cam.

Cold, wet wintry conditions at Moonbah (1100 metres). No sleet or snow though. Appears set in looking across to the range towards Perisher. First real sign of winter starting to materialise!

Both Buller and Baw Baw have some settling by the look of the cams. Enough for some footprints across village square. Big thinderstorms last night here in NW Tassie, now its just bleak and grey out there. Not a good day for drying my washing....

I would expect all resorts to be on board with this motive, considering the freeze levels expected.

Some pics from higher up at Falls. Sloppy mess down low but some nice fluffy stuff up high, max 2 or 3cm on the ground.
