Extending the obs, hit -9c around Jindy this morning just before dawn. Coldest I've seen here.
I observe a chilly start to July East of Melbourne at 10.30am. I observe my fingers rapidly getting frost-bitten and that the birds will be ice-skating rather than bathing in our birdbath. I also observe our birdbath needs a clean.
Plenty of sub zero when I went on the ride this morning. My AWS was just hovering above zero, there was plenty of hollows that were less. The MYT pontoons were covered in frost / ice.
You wouldn't want to observe any black ice!
Thredbo top station aws has the relative humidity at 1% is this possible or is it malfunctioning
Noted as possible issue about a month ago in another thread. It is forecast to get <10% RH today but I think it needs re-calibrating.
Perisher currently in the 15-20% so think something in between 10 & 20% is where it should be ATM.
-7 tonight for NSW CT's.
Pipes didn't thaw till 10.30 this morning at work today.
Looks like Perth struggled today. It luckily reached it's max (16C) @10am and hovered around 10C after 12:30PM. It's currently on 9.6C @4pm.
That's bitterly cold for Perth.
