Doing the DP - genny shuttle run for some mates. Its nukalating; road covered from Davenport onwards; will be all the way back to DP soon methinks
Falls getting it’s time too:
I’m guessing Vic alps need a solid 30cm to repair. Cams show a break in the snowfall, cmon Mother Nature
I note Hotham clicked gusts of up to 130km/h an hour or so ago.
Can people say where their photos are from please, it's a bit hard for us noobs to tell where it is with no context.

That’s some fine straw
Precip has been kind to PV so far.
I believe @hongomania is taking a photo from The GAR near Hotham on the way to dinner plain.
Ramping up now though. Hoping that cold air hits soon so we don’t waste too much of this band
Not too far away.
Another hour or so...
Wagga , Griffith obs
Note for the last 2.5 hours itsbeen thrashed and it’s pouring on Perisher , watching the windows bend and rain pour down . Still above 4c , must be coming
I suspect I won’t last long though
Hope I’m wrong
Wintery mix turning to snow on the Merrits cam at Thredbo. Cold air has arrived. 0.1C at Thredbo Top Station.
Finally turned cold at sawpit. Wet and windy. Mt P down to 0.3c. Any time now!
And still an hour or two's worth of precip per the radar.
Well, hopefully there’ll be some snow out of that moisture. Wild, woolly, and wet here in
Canberra (thank heaven’s).
Snowing down now at smiggins.
Not sticking yet, but not rain anymore.
Currently 0.4 degrees outside
Sorry about photo,
Perisher started turning white just before 9, temps still dropping, mostly snow now, water starting to freeze at Smiggs
yeah talking to my besties in Kambah you guys need it.
Thredbo has past the Zero mark.
Sheets of Jatz Crackers on Sou Peri cam now
Snowing at North Perisher, windy white goodness, so relieved!
pix coming thru same " over the back "
Great call snow forecasters 10pm and we have snow
It looks like 15mm of Rain, 2cm of snow so far at Perisher with the system moving away pretty quickly. Will another front hit or is the show over?
Stars out at Malvern Melb... showers Vic/Sa border entering on radars ...
lots of rain and 10 degrees in Canberra (according to the car thermometer)
turn the flash off, and sit the camera on something that wont move.
Cold clear and still here in Sydney
Cold pool has descended at Perisher. That's a pretty temperature slope. Nice moisture too. Everything over 15mm will be the fluffy stuff.
It’s all about shutter speed .. the longer the shutter speed the longer the straw .. imo
Thredbo village square.
I also observe impressive work from the bulk of the forecasters well done @Kletterer @Doonks and others!
I observe the deep cat tracks on cruiser that were clearly visible at 9pm are now well and truly gone.
Snowing at our place at 1230 m ASL. Looking over the lake on the edge of the national park
Deck and yard covered
Thank you, but I feel I've been erroneously tagged. Nonetheless...
Rest assured, @Doonks did nuthin'
I have proof
Obs - Thredbo Top Station around -3C with moisture still coming in
Hey hey hey!
Apologies you are correct it was @Donzah
The point being I wished to thank those who gave their forecasts in a level headed manner unlike those that predicted 100mm of rain followed by 100cm.....
I observe 30mm in the guage at perisher 5am. So that is 16mm since the reports on here confirmed it had changed to snow. Looks like it is still accumulating too
Just got up to watch the end of the cricket. Still lightly raining in Jindy and 5c.
