    Put yo obs here.
Trof mixing in with some frontal mess today. Settlement above 1700m IMO.
Colder upper temp due somewhere behind the trof band, bringing snow down to ~1.5k at times.

There must be a little accumulation by now. I saw it was snowing before 8am and has not stopped since.

Snowing on High Noon, as expected. Problem is freeze level is sitting ~1900m so marginal accumulation below that for now IMO.
No accumulation or anything sticking on Frostbite Cafe benches on high noon cam.

I might go out in half an hour or so. Drizzle in Thredbo village, but was a few almost pellets in it a minute ago.

Moderate very wet winter mix & mizzle, interspersed with the odd light flurry at Blue Cow & Guthega this morning. No net gain IMO. Gear wet but snow still skiable on steeper runs. Observing the positives there are no queues and the snow gums are simply stunning in their wet bark, displaying vivid oranges, reds, yellows, browns and green colours. On wet ski days there is still magic in the Aussie Alps.

Heavy, but fun at Thredbo. Wet. Spring in July? It has that fun surfy quality where you can lean right over.

So better than the ice yesterday where I leant right over a healside turn a couple of times and ended up sliding?

Last night was clear stuff falling in Tawonga and on the mountain. Arrived at windy corner circa 8:30 to steady light r**n. I travel with two sets of gear so ventured out to find wet heavy but surprisingly skiable snow and some white stuff falling around cloud 9. Did two runs then decided that the carvers were a bad idea so retreated for a ski change to something more suitable to the conditions. After lunch the snow was getting pretty choppy and hard work for my day one of the season tele legs. My gear is surprisingly un wet so all in all worth getting out there.

Raining in Jindy. Very cold on Mts. Maybe some dust to cover the ice pack?

Very much a dusting at Charlotte. The beast was a kitten. Freeze overnight, corduroy corrugations on piste..... off piste..... forget it.

Observed light rain at Moonbah and Jindy this morning whilst the sun was out up in the hill. Yesterday’s precipitation on the mountain in whatever form had solidified itself ........

Groomers were quickly skied off to reveal a very slick surface across the PV resort.

Looking back over town was a mix of fog and low cloud - circa 9:30.

Looks amazing down there!! Hardly a breath of wind over the whole Snowies according to the obs too. I notice some pretty cold minimums were recorded with Perisher and Thredbo both recording -8°C. Must be a top day for skiing

Didn't see any snowmaking at Thredbo last night, despite the cold. Have they given it away already?

Great day for all mountain skis today at Hotham. Groomers were boiler plate roys in the am and granular shavings in the pm. Off piste was frozen crud in the morning and softening crud in the pm. Demo'd a pair of Kendo's and they ate it all up. Pretty impressive.

Firm and fast at Falls this morning, lucky the carvers with their lovely sharp edges were up to it. Started to soften a bit around 11 and wombats ramble was slush by 2:30. Looks like rinse and repeat for the rest of the week.

Day tripped Buller today. Needs moarrrrr snow badlyyyy. Was a nice sunny day with little to no wind, very firm early, softened up very fast. Very spring like, would have been a fun if there was better off piste coverage.

The day is looking nice at Buller:

After skiing the July dump and the endless cloud, I think it’s going to nice to ski in the sun, regardless of the snow conditions.

Both days on the weekend were great. Was very icy in some spots in the mornings but most of that turned to slush in the afternoons which was fine to ski on. Felt very warm both days.
