    A lot of damaged compacted flakes (blown across the landscape) have settled in there . Throw in the odd bit of Graupel and you get an unconsolidated snowpack.

    Gullies are quite probably crossloaded with the Westerly as well .

    Some pics from yesterday afternoon when the clouds cleared for a moment at Perisher. The top of the mountain is visible this morning and looking pretty amazing. So great to see the mountain looking so filled in.

    had to rope the quad off so people don't run into dangling skis

    Nice morning in Tawonga ....hot chocolate .....some cloud at about 1.400 m altitude ....could see all peaks a little while ago...looks settled up Top.Fost was pretty mild overnight by look of roads so far.

    Benign conditions probably over most of weekend...

    Some fog, cold temps and no wind.

    We will be heading back to Hotham tonight after cookiegirl picks her gold medal from todays moguls event.

    @ trailblazer the Mawson site says 170cm snow depth, would be hard get an average though

    From what I've heard, anything from 100-150cm. Obviously a lot of wind blown around the tow and the fence helps to collect snow as well.

    Haven't seen this amount of snow at Buller for well over a decade.
    Good snow all round, the rain didn't do great things for the powder stashes I found though...
    But incredible. Excited for a bit of sun tomorrow.

    Crackerjack weather at Falls this morning when I dropped the crew off. T-shirt weather in the car park at 9am - toasty!

    Looked a solid queue for International but with conditions like this no wonder... what a spring this is turning out to be!

    OK, so past date..................I observed that daughter won her 16yrs girls (football / soccer) GF.
    Sunshine Coast Champions!!!!!!! Woop Woop!!!!!
    Were loosing 3-1 with 10 mins to go. Scored 2 in the last 10 mins to go to extra time.
    Then scored 3 mins into first 10mins of extra time and held on during 2nd 10 mins of extra time.
    4-3 Champions!!!!!
    Weather was perfect blue sky and mid 20's at the Sunshine Coast Stadium.
