Speaking of wind, there was a 139 km/h gust recorded at Thredbo TS at 1.51 am.
Bugger all moisture in that subsiding front so it's fine.
1.4mm at Falls sounds like the worst of it.
Mild, mostly still and partly cloudy at present in NE Melb. .Time for a bike ride to clear the head.

To no surprise of my own, it's snowing on the Thredbo basin webcam.
Beautiful afternoon on Sydney NB's. Suns out, mild, barely any wind - what a day to see out Autumn...
Most of humanity was out on the Main Yarra Trail today .
The weather is still sunny, a bit cloudier and the NW breeze has increased.
I expect some cold front activity later tonight.
Basin webcam copping a good coating now.
Temp dropping steadily here; down to 5.6° C, with RH close to 90%.
EDIT (as of 7:18 PM): not dropping any lower.
Mountains are now socked in with game of thrones darkness and light rain spitting on Jindy North Shore
Well it is May 31 so winter is definitely...
Some light showers in the Dandenong ranges this evening. Still very mild out.
Pic looking towards My Donna Buang at about 4pm.
Your Donna Buang? When did you buy it?
Haha good old auto correct so funny sometimes
Cams this morning showing some light falls ovrnight at the higher levels. lot of incoming on the radar!
Great looking blob
A dusting on Bourke St, Mt. Buller, which isn't that far above village height.
6.8 degrees outside here.
Bullers got a nice dusting overnight.
light dusting at Thredbo this morning.
Looks like it's dumping at Buller:
Freezing level starting to lower. Fat flakes now at DP.
Pretty much unfolding as we expected atm.
The weather is Cold and wet here in NE Melbourne this morning.
Most ski locations in VIC. according the snow cam.s have a light dusting and the snow is visibly captured falling mid air as I type on these cameras. Even Mt.Buffalo and Lake Mt. look white. I will drive up to Myrtleford soon and check the web cameras again at 4 pm.
It's a bugger Mount Gambier not sending balloons up lately.
This is ADL @9pm AEST, approximately the same frontal band that is impacting Vic resorts now.
EDIT: It just updated with this morning's launch, so refer to blue trace lines for what I was referring to.
....And just like that BoM listens to POW.
Mount Gambier just updated. Nice moisture profile with a mid-level dry layer @ ~3.5km
9am today 1st June:
Perisher cams seeing some action now
Looking really good at Falls.
The mountains looking quite dramatic from east Jindy
looking like some fat flakes down to the village at thredbo, via the cams, still warm and sunny in Sydney.
Ha ha while you are there can you take a walk a little up the hill and tell me if they are putting roof trusses on the new build with a garage below!
Cape Otway with a -2C apparent temp.
Winds increasing, sliding back to 10C.
There were many new builds so I didn’t notice sorry!! Beautiful area though, I’m jealous.
And in other news IT IS SNOWING!!!!
Wet flakes from Rennix walk (just after Ski Rider) and sticking to the ground from Prussian chain bay.
This is on Kosciuszko rd by the way.
-20C uppers are in town.
Right on time.
12 hours of power begins now.
Looks just about skiable now..
Yeah - there's already 4cms or so on the Cedarwood table. Bring it on!
Wintery and magical at Perisher, next stop Charlotte Pass!
Is the gate open??
Thought it closed a while ago? Or are you walking it?
And freaking scary haha I’ve never driven to CP before. Low visibility and I watched the road turn white seconds after the plough cleared it. So I turned my newbie self back around to Perisher.
There is a break in the snow now, some blue sky trying to peek through again.
EDIT to say I stopped at the lookout above CP, so if there is another gate between there and the village then I don’t know about that.
Nope that's the end of the road! Well done
