    Temp's been well below freezing here since 6 PM yesterday (down to –2° C this morning), but the rainband(s) swung northwards too early and missed me entirely. Maybe next time…

    Whatever setup caused that late May 2019 snowstorm—now that would be ideal.

    Currently as at 11.30am there is mist bow on this cam, but two hours ago was better. Mt Benambra VIC approx 1460m alt.

    June 2nd 2020.Rocky Valley Dam area ,
    Falls Creek/Alpine Nat. Park . A solar powered table o meter snow gauge. I would guess that is about 10- 15 cms of fresh snow.
    It was XC skiable in the morning but without a base and above zero temperatures it deteriorated after lunch. I made it as far as Langford Gap hut and ran out of snow. I was feeling fit and could have made it to Wallace's hut but there was not enough snow cover.
