I'm not going to blow my trumpet too loudly re these systems.lots of non liquid rain on Perisher now!
It benefits from N/Nw systems due to the lack of higher ground in the way.Is this a bit of evaporative cooling going on at peri?
With MR winds ~100km/h what you're seeing is adiabatic cooling. Is this a bit of evaporative cooling going on at peri?
Don't look at the weather forumRain at DP some flakes but rain ..
hope that changes ..

I expected a big more clear stuff.Looks like Perisher picked up atleast 20-25cm over night.
Perisher AWS registered a staggering 9mm/hour fall rate between 2-3am this morning.
Gotta be glad this was during nocturnal hours, with marginal temps the way they were.
Yeah, same. Did well.I expected a big more clear stuff.
So thankfully the temps were cold at the witching hour.
The amazingly high rate of precipitation would have helped as well (@perisher). On the drive up this morning I was in a very heavy localised area for 5min, as heavy rate of snowfall as I have ever seen on the road hereI expected a big more clear stuff.
