    I observe Perth did well.
Nearly 35mm out of the trough. Showers prevailing today with another front due tomorrow AM.
Probably settle on 50-60mm once all said and done. Well-over a third of their July average in half a week.

No precipitation in it. Just some passing cloud. Some nice colours from the Summit though.

You can see it on the satellite.

Brutal cold wind ripping through Melb.

Not sure what windchill factor is but I would not stay outside for to long today.

    Major front barrelling in.....

Windy for sure, felt it on the bike. On the plus side, it was warm enough to ditch the longs and go back to the shorts.

I observe similar temps at Moonbah.

At Perisher.... the wind was up from the get go this morning on the Mt P side of the hill and blowing plenty of snow into the Lee side of the mountain. A ‘typical Mt P special!!

Also observed some interesting cloud around noonish......

Went for a ski, was windy and otherwise meh.
And then when I go back in, the sun comes out.
can't win with this mountain (Buller).....

It's probably good to keep it low key until Saturday, when the party starts.

We’re observing first decent blow of the season, ground isn’t even damp and the first delivery of firewood has arrived, well fallen into the yard.

A great visual example of adiabatic cooling - a tell tale sign of either winds increasing or dew point lowering, given you're on different ends of the alps.

The wind basically closed Buller except for Skyline and Bourke St. So fast that it blew you down the slope, going up the top of Wombat was very intense.
