I've never seen such large crowds at interceptor or north P like today. We got a few laps of freshies there before the hordes arrived, then moved to ridge for 1 lap before they arrived there, then over to guthega to ski out the arvo in boot deep goodness and straight on every lift.
Where you seeing Live cam? I thought it was on the perisher live cams page but when I looked, it is a still? Edit: found it in the list.
I observe far too much snow has fallen over the past 24 hours............ for me to be stuck at work!
It snowed all day @ Perisher - managed to avoid crowds - wishing I had fat skis on Mt P as drifts were rediculous. Visibility good amongst trees - crap elsewhere, even on Font Valley. Great accumulation almost to bottom of ski tube @ Bullocks Flat - snow level about 1200 metres IMO for this event.
I'm thinking I just called the bloke who took the pic and verified that it is indeed today's shot at Falls Creek. Full story here http://www.huffingtonpost.com.au/20...d-of-oz-re_a_23067892/?utm_hp_ref=au-homepage
Raining again at my high perch near Tumba , maybe just a little more on the way for the hills , certainly cold enough.
? No ACT public holiday today. Wondered about NSW though. Suspect absenteeism rates for today might be a little above average ...
Just walked back to lodge at smigs, clear skies above. The clouds look to be retreating to the MR atm.
My buddies place just out of Jindy this morning . She is on a hill facing the NW. (pic obviously in opposing direction) Lets just say its amazing there are trees on that hill.
Won"t make a difference...you know she would kill you if she found out you went skiing in this without her.
Yeah, typical of Huey to snow all day and stop just after the last lift Should be good tomorrow over the other side of Hotham in the areas that didn't open today.
I don't expect those final squalls to make it as far as FC (not enough to add anything meaningful anyway)
Well i waited and was rewarded with wet ice pellets and a lovely view and pleasant walk down in the dark
Observing all of this from another continent Four day pass still awaiting collection... hope September shows me some love.
Corryong to Benambra rd via Sassafrass Gap is now also closed according to Vic Rds web site...due to heavy snow fall....
