I observe that Mount Buffalo has done very well out of this storm.
From CFA website
I observe that if you pull out a tape measure and measure 130cm up from the ground it gives you a good sense of perspective. That's a lot of snow.
I observe from the tube yesterday and today.
I observe the weekend was epic, especially Saturday morning and Sunday arvo (when everyone left and it puked), spewing I couldn't get amongst it yesterday!
For me the pickie of the event. Our favourite measuring cam. And it's these events where ski.com.au and it's great forum contributors really delivers.. THANKS SKI.COM.AU‼️
Top of Smigs.
From FC FB page. Going to be lots of digging to find your car.
Falls Creek or North America? Looking decidedly un-Australian.
That rooftop slab tho...
These photo's from Hoth/Falls particularly are as filled in as I can remember in a long long time. Usually takes 2m+ to look like this.
Imagine if they had the vert to actually do something with all that snow. Place would be epic.
Road'll be closed, anyway!
I observe a lot of digging going on around the resorts this morning
Harriettville still closed so no waiting for lifts at Hotham. Cracking day. A little fog up high but the sun pushing through. 100% cover. All the right places groomed. Still waiting for Gotcha and Orchard to open. The powder hounds have tracked out nearly everything in HV.
Imagine if Buller didn't get freezing rain at -3.
nope, can't either.
We need CRB snow plough cam...to see what's happening.......Bears say all machines must have been running non stop for the last four days......
Buller looks foggy IMO - what a surprise
Nova in Sydney mentioned it on the 9am news report!
If they're diesel I hope alpine mix is in the tank!
SEN sports radio in Melbourne even going with it. It's legit, don't **** around in the BC just because it's bluebird...
Shit WILL slide.
Hotham rd now open for Uphill bound travelers only....
The system total at each resort, tallying up the day to day resort reports.
Apart from maybe Thredbo, looks pretty accurate.
Hotham Rd again open for uphill traffic only...
I observe Is this dew point temp unusual ??? at BB
Huge back country avalanche of The Drift at Hotham
Dargo bowl or Drift cliffs/Avi gully?
what stupid ****ing people.
wow... is that Hotham somewhere?
look at the size of that crown wall!!!
Solid crown on that.
Near drift cliffs. Huge. You can see the skin tracks nearby. Also lines nearby but looks like not into it. Huge crown wall. Patrol on way. Hope no one is hurt
wind slab. slight convexity. unsupported slope.
And there's still people dropping lined nearby, fkn mad
what the actual ****. what is wrong with these people?!
people on top right of pic for scale....
I wouldn't call BS. The mountain got pummeled this storm cycle . That's the most snow I've seen fall in Oz in a weekend. Thigh deep bottomless riding fatties in the Golfy. Poking a pole around saw it sink to the grip.
Heaps of snow. Sun. Bit heavier, still amazing. Hotham
Is sliding. Might be worth watching the Kosciusko cam
Puck me... That release.
In other news.. Lel
Just came across this - more snow porn from Charlotte's Pass via the Miss Snow it all FB page (apologies if posted already!)
