I am not a regular Thredbo skier but their AWS is somewhat near the top of the mountain at 1957m so I see no reason to doubt it if that's where they measure from. You would not expect them to broadcast their village snow depth - not good marketing and very bad for business.
I observe Skiing at Thredbo the last few days and for a few days more will be the best in Australia IMO. Very jelly I'm not there.

Don't forget Thredbo gets a lot blown in from the Main Range, so the figure is quite possible.

Also you could see on the cams yesterday (think it was in the morning?) that Thredbo was getting heavy snow for some time while nothing was falling at Perisher. Will be interested to see the Spencers Creek update this week.

Thredbo have only reported 135cm for the storm total, which from what I have heard on the hill is about right. I know there was some confusion in the reporting as they included the day and night totals in the last 24 hours i.e 6am to 6am.

I'd love to see all the actual readings taken.

There would be some big numbers at parts of Hotham and falls methinks

Great day at Buller. Fresh snow, didn't get wet today (did yesterday), heaps of powder and even some sunshine.

I observe that I had countless tabs open to sk.icom.au for the past 2 days and the refresh button was constantly being hit.

I observe no computer was used today to check snow conditions, only my own 5 senses which in combination were feeling much joy. I observe Buller is being enjoyed by not too many people. I observed we could ski down the village streets with deep snow, and that doesn't happen often. The photo is my skis on the road. There were blue skies and sunshine interspersed with snow flurries
