I am liking the high position sw of perth. Mainland pressure not massive either. Not much in it but it's a start. IMO

Yep.
And happening early enough in May to allow the next hypothetical node in for late May. (hopefully get a logical may blocking pattern out of the way next few weeks after this.

It's moving quick, a little bit of moisture, probably a bit more prefrontal than I was expecting, but it's passing over quickly. Good totals in the west and the north of Tassie, which says it's picking up some moisture in the strait as it crosses.

To be honest it's kinda useless, too hot to snow, and too warm and windy to be pleasant. We're in that annoying period of weather for the year.

Or Prime Patterns if you surf.
Won't do much better than this week in Vic on the reefs.

100%. The forecast looks fantastic everyday for over a week until it turns southerly.
Would have been a good week to take some leave. Im interested to see what eventuates.
Looking at the models and different forecasting sites I have a feeling it might get a tad bigger at some points in the week than currently predicted.

Latest synoptic does look good!
There's a trough and front just coming into western VIC atm, with a nice 2nd (back up?) front well south of WA - however with the strong H well west of WA could help the 2nd front impact on the Snowys.
Big W winds and cool temps in Radelaide, Mt P cam has gone from sunny to very grey....

On dark today maybe but the falling tide will be against you, if you have a long board, Shoreham might have some fun clean small runners.
Otherwise tomorrow onwards will be the go, Thursday will be the pick of the days this week IMO.

Pushing strong swell should negate it somewhat. Is a very high low tide so might be ok-inconsistent maybe.

Actually it's looking like about 1-2ft atm on the high. Yuk.
Radar clear so better ditch the cafe and get back to it....

trigger bros is a good site for WP bay surf cams, the 2nd reef and pines2 cams are the best for checking the conditions IMO.
Ill be glued to those for the next few days, mind surfing from my office.
