Undoubtedly, but it'll be the dregs in the Baw Baw shadow. LM might struggle a bit with the temps at times.

Between boorowa and cowra this arvo car temp read 4 at 600m. Got two brief heavy bursts of sago and sleety flakes that were slattering on impact. Must have snowed in the higher parts further east.

I observe this storm has done good, given it was looking decidedly marginal for the significant proportion of it. Good top up.

I was pretty surprised at how good today was. The powder was not knee deep, but it was still very notice and significant.

We actually have a second set of these with the 21 inch rims for towing and mild offroading. They are pretty good.

Agreed Mick, most forecasts close to the 20-45 cents predicted by most models, Bullville perhaps 20, Falls, Hoth System Bobo and P up about 35 cents, boar boar a bit more with the south gippy polar express. Bloody good stuff. 2 systems, 120 cents and minimal clear snow, not bad for a supposedly El Niño ‘esq’ Autumn/Winter punctuated by high pressure so far IMO

Heading up tomorrow*. The New BFGKO2's on the Lux have the snowflake winter rating so keen to see how they go. Still need care on ice, and generally, but not intending to chain up. *been up the last hour with Junior Turns coughing his lungs out, +1 saying we can't go as will keep the entire lodge awake..............
Snow looks too good not to go....

I’ll have a look when I go up this morning and try and work out where it was. I don’t think it was that low but I didn’t specifically take note at the time. (Sorry!)

A foot or so is more than reasonable - given how windy it has been with the snowfall (even by Australian standards) they could probably have got away with calling it more. Also I wouldn’t say it was still “snowing” as such since late last night, definitely only blowing-in from elsewhere but it all adds to the depth so it’s all good!

First tracks at Blue Cow...some nice boot deep stashes out by the boundary rope off the Ridge quad...visibility poor up top but better lower down. Chair ride back up was vicious! Skin raw like a sushi dinner!

Was quite decent earlier this morning at Falls out in the maze an summit etc vis was reduced at top but not too bad, wet snow becoming slow an heavy now and chopped up (as to be expected lol). No waiting at summit lift all morning which was pleasant just needs to be a good 2-3 degrees colder, but this is Australia. Winds are not as high as forecasted.

    Today I observed:

    1. Someone leaving their car overnight in the PV car park left a nice spot for my skis... and some unhappy attendants.

    2. Conditions on lifts same as yesterday. Slow T Bars, chairs on hold. Except visibility much better today.
    3. Near Gale force winds up high however coming in the wrong direction so unbelievable amounts of winds gouging. Here’s a pic of the Vista run. Normally groomed!

    4. On the flip side, if you went looking there was stacks of wind blown dry snow and fresh tracks all day!
    5. No crowds out on MT P. Here’s the TBar mid morning. Shot not super clear as there was so much wind blown snow coming across the track.

    6. Skiing with @robbo mcs we observed a native rodent trying to survive in the conditions and plenty of wind blown.

    7. Heading out around noon I dropped onto the base of Olympic T Bar observing massive wind gouging. Powerful winds making the cable hum... a lot of snow needed to fill in the T Bar track at the base.

    8. That gouging did provide a strip of deep dry snow down lower Olympic right into the base of Sun Valley. I observed myself enjoying that run!
    9. Finally, the winds were so strong that areas which had cover yesterday were stripped bare of snow. Wherein spots that were bare yesterday now have deep cover.

    Can’t wait to observe tomorrow....

You are a glass half-full kind of guy Jelly, I can see that! Definitely snowing at times higher up but even mid-mountain it was getting very sticky and there was some clear stuff mixed in for sure - we cut our losses at about 2pm as we were drenched. Still some great snow in places but not yesterday's epicness and I maintain that temperatures were very marginal. Can't complain though, still living off yesterday's glory!

Good summary. Skiing was better late yesterday - drier and less wind scoured. I must have been on the same left as I saw that rodent on Eyre do a backflip of a rock!

I try to be, given I am the kind of guy who will ski in just about anything. It was pretty crap not far below Tirol Flat. It was snowing well in the morning, sleeting and raining in the afternoon. I got ditched because of the rain, and had a lightly tracked bowl to myself to explore for 2 hours. Heavy powder though. And yes I was saturated too, temps became pretty marginal as the day went on, from where I was (primarily upper mountain in the morning, lower in afternoon). Yesterday was definitely better, tomorrow will be good with Bull Run Bowl open as well

We skied thredbo again today, excellent wind blown up high all day.
It was blowing its nuts off above kosi chair.
Nice snow under snow gums chair and near old ramshead chair line.
Did a few laps down golf coarse from karels... Man was it icy and wind swept at the top, but really nice once in the bowl.

Unfortunately it was lightly raining in the lower slopes since about 230.

I'm not sure I'm sold on thredbo, we usually ski perisher, as boarders there seems to be a lot of traversing. The top of the mountain is great then you need to negotiate the slop down low.
