Adelaide Airport @ 11:30am 10.5C, apparent temp -0.8C!! W winds in the 55-60 kmh range, 2.6mm of rain since 9am Nice coldness there - hope it makes it across
Adelaide Rain Radar is impressive....looks like the quiet little town of artisans is getting pulverised..... is Adelaide Airport still open with average winds at 60km/hr??? and gusting to 80km/hr SA capital is still below ten degC!! with Rainfall now totalling approx. 5mm since 9am.. from BOM observations.....
Temps at Thredbo have been dropping last few hours. 1.30pm top station was 0 degrees. Looks bloody wet otherwise. By lack of commentary in predictions thread I assume everyone else is over it.
Flew out from Adelaide Airport midday today. The flight was delayed but for technical reasons not because of the weather. Take off was surprisingly smooth. Plenty of rain, wind and cold there today.
now a heat wave in Adelaide ten and a half deg C.....they have reached their max temp probably... Team Bears wonder whether dudes in Rundell Mall have hypothermia
BOM Victoria @BOM_Vic 6m6 minutes ago Wettest 3 day stretch in September: Ballarat since 1921, Beaufort 1911, Wedderburn 1916
Will do, short walk to granite flat, plenty of snow left in that bowl to lookers left so should still be enough on the southern side. Snowed for a while only sticking on the grass, then dry until now as pellets start to hit the roof again. Noticeably colder outside...
Trentham up to 63mm in the last 2 days and more to come, no wonder the Coliban river and Campaspe are pumping. As far as I know all three lakes are full in the upper Coliban area, so Eppalock should start filling pretty quickly and if it does fill the lower Campaspe will see some decent flooding IMO
That is a little further west than I went over the weekend, and it was very wet and the upper Coliban was very close to bursting it banks before the rain hit this week so far. From all reports they have copped more rain towards the Ballarat side of Wombat, so not surprised if they are in strife, Especially if Tullaroop is full.
Well skiing Mt P in a blizzard today , got some nice pow turns in, around 5cm up top then cleared , low should move east and provide more snow tonight for the main range , Vic may miss out as it's just too low
Ah the snobbery. At least the students that I taught in Sunbury knew the difference between past and passed.
BOM have a minor flood warning for the Goulburn at Seymour. My mum has reliably informed me they've had 27mm in the gauge, and hail just now. Whiteheads Creek has closed one of the local roads as there's water over the road now, rendering it impassable. It's the same road and creek that claimed a life back in January after a cloud burst.
Central pressure bottoms out (1001hPa) around Mortlake at the moment. Coldest air not too far from that. Mount William (1150m) sitting on 2C.
ha ha..... Good call! I am actually Sunbury born, raised and still live here, I was just taking the piss a little as most people would know where I was referring to. I observe it has been raining lightly on and off for passed hour
Left falls creek at 1130 Rain all morning till about 1030 Then hail for 10 min Then wet sago Had to go at 1130 left with it starting to dump big fat flakes
Vic alps in line for a solid precip band in the next hour or so. Looks moderately heavy. Rotation on Himawari, around the Grampians looks tight.
