Accumulations on Thredbo Upper Super Park cam, so snow to 1500m at least. BOM on the money so far, gotta admit I was dubious.

Just watched Ski Patrol run down High Noon on the cam and its definitely looking gluggy but its all a bonus this early in the system.Gunbarrel chair on wind hold again I see.
Or is it wind hold?
I remember there was a time the BoM could tell you how windy it was at Thredbo top of Crackenback. Those were the days.
Next level Nuking on High Noon! Quality won't matter too much unless your skiing before Saturday/Sunday! Not many snow bridges out on the range on Sunday and still a lot of rocks out on the faces so this stuff will coat those rocks like clag glue! The snow stake at Perisher already has a layer on it!
I observe the snow stake at Perisher is a little hard to read at the moment.....

That was one hell of a drive, but fun. No way I was taking the bus and our friends enormous van over Hotham.
The Stake is developing a lean again. Not sure how reliable it will be if they cant fix it.
It's a shame they've adjusted the angle on the HN cam, it was great for obs in terms of how much the cafe deck supports gained in snow depth.

I dismissed it as probably somewhere on the way to Cobungra, up, out of the Omeo valley.

Definitely flakes but too warm to settle as we left Omeo.

Those straps wouldn't be far off half a foot wide.
I'd estimate the gap between straps at 11.5 to 15cm so 2 gaps from the lower strap to the base? Happy for someone to measure if still on mountain?
Should be a fun night for the groomers at Thredbo. Start pushing the mid mountain glug to the lower mountain once it drops into 0.5c to build a base for the top to bottom Saturday.
Rains stopped in Mt Beauty. Can't wait to get up Falls tomorrow!
