Damm, that huuurrrtttt.
@Any should learn from this.
I'm surprised there was no fence or poles
I’m guessing one of the paradiski resorts in France!
Someone inadvertently trying to emulate Candide Thovex?
I didn’t watch with sound..
Did someone try to warn him? Was that why he turned around. Huge slam. Won’t be walking away from that one.
No... I think he was looking at the dark thing that looks a bit like a rail or a sharp angular rock.
Looking on the positive side, at least he didn’t land in front of a bus.
What's the story?
And I thought I had a big smash today. Holy molely that is going to hurt in the morning
You keep watching it and it still shocks........poor busted legs but at least he was breathing enough after the event to post the video.
Looking at that again. I know it is supposed to be France, but not sure how that is even possible. There was no indication at all. Fake?
That is my first thought. There is zero warning, unless that was seriously off piste he would have landed on a bunch of bodies rather than bare asphalt.
He goes through some sketchy terrain to get there, and you don't know what ropes he may have ducked further up the hill.
IIRC correctly the railway enters a tunnel in the middle of Winter Park in Colorado (obviously this is not Winter Park) so the situation is possible.
No the tunnel is not in the middle of winter park.
I've only been through in the train. It must be damn close.
It’s close but no where near the actual ski lifts in terms of doing something like this.
If you look further up the road from his landing, it looks like the road has just been cleared!
You screw one camel...........
Doing some digging on the orignal post...
this is the maps
This is the highway - above the tunnel
You may not have noticed in my original post I wrote
(obviously this is not Winter Park)
but carry on.
I was just trying to help. Soz
My point was that there are places where going a little bit out of bounds can lead you to extraordinary hazards.
and video unavailable
i can still see it.
Here is the link to the full post on fb
okay that didn't work...
Well the vid works. the fab post part - converted to video.
Both vids now suddenly avail.
If it's France, then it's the Euro attitude of 'well, you went off piste, what did you expect?'.
But yikes. Nice flight and landing through. Kept skis together, controlled.
If not fake, this looks like a snow shed, except he somehow went across instead of over.
I did consider that it was France, so potentially possible. I think in most other places there would have been at least some sort of sign.
