also some where to hide on a wet day when u got hypothermia in Kens Property...
and Bears did some log seat corrections too...
lets hope Parks enbrace the new installation in the Horse Yards...its out of the way and replaces an old table of sorts that was there that fell to bits over the years....
Ken Harris's property is private land so do not tresspass or disturb anything.....in case of emergency it has an easy to find Fire Refuge and also note in less than hospitable weather one may justifiably seek shelter in the old open shed shown in photos...regards Team Bears....
Now for a coffee.checking out wi.fi capacity while going a coffee in Lyon st..still had to use computer to download pics from photobucket.but all is good in the technology domain well for the moment back to work on table 19 later...!!!
Originally it had a table of sorts but it rotted away and fell to bits thank god Team Bears were not in tent when the tree came down a couple of years ago it would have collected the tent we feel...that tree right behind rodeo was the most recent fall..came straight thro fire place would have crushed our truck too...always pleased when they fall when nobody is there...some look sound but always some totally unsound area of weakness...
Was rotted just at ground level...hope consultants are factoring liability insurance for Parks and State Goverment in regard to this Falls to Hotham Iconic Walk...some times it pays not to think of trees when asleep in the tunnel tent..
As usual great work and pictures Steve.
Bears out on a mission now..just slipped into Glenrowan for coffee good to be out of Melb.nice and hot and dry up here.Table 19 heading into special location in next couple of days.May beam pic down all going well after this difficult installation .

Good news dozer has been to End of jeep track just recently.Rodeo now just east of Mt Mulhauser on Longspur u can drive all the way track bushy but clear between wheel ruts.only one tiny branch to cut .Well done DSE.will walk the little distance to the top now and go over check out the new picnic table.such a good job by DSE.
When I return in a week this spot will definitely get a table soone on each side of Mt Mulhauser this one is good flat camp site with Internet possibilities too.
From near top of Mulhauser looking Nth
Solid as a rock oh dear big anvils to the north better get out of here ,breezy but mild. Better not rain with iPad in my hands
Yep , those anvil shaped clouds spell one word: ABORT!.You are doing a great job. I am definitely walking this whole route within the next 12 months. My pet project is to walk all the approach routes to Mt. Bogong and Mt. FT. I wonder what Long spur would be like in winter. Most people use Mulhauser spur when approaching from the Omeo Hwy. in winter. Those naughty trees keep falling down, Steve your work is never done!.
Team Bears on another mission while this dry warm weather keeps up.
Will advise forum later this evening of table 20,s installation.4G 3 bars at Mitta Mitta.
Now we are talking.Table in .saw bushwakers on AWT about hour ago he is on jeep track now coming my way .he declined a lift but hopefully he will be along soon to try out new table
I pad not like sending pics on 3 G..
Bushwaker not turned up yet ,hopefully he is camped somewhere down Track.mild night good sitting by fire campsite shielded by Mt Mulhauser from westerly winds.not a bad campsite in average weather conditions.
After a quick breakfast of chocolate teddys Team Bears did a little more work.No rain o/n breezy but mild.A bit of a fire seat should Mr T. Drop in later in year.
Basically all wrapped up this morning..all Bears present now!

Saw this near Mt Ck as we cut thro Hollow Way on way for coffee at Mt.Beauty Bakery(free Wifi ..yes)
Locals say there are lots of crazies coming next weekend ..so everybody watch out..
Bears are on the do nothing challenge for at least a week or so..
While the competitive forum members make their way to the Nth East with their Bikes Team Bears have been experimenting with a "micro table"based on their robust West Kiewa Standard Design..
This new one has treated sleepers that are 1.8meters in length compared to the WKSD which uses 2.4 lengths.
This is a pic of the "micro "Bears first in this smaller range..
Team Bears will have to undertake field trials naturally before any members of the public can rest their butts.
Bears say that the length between supports still remains about 1.6meters for both designs.
Bears on chainsaw mission again.nice 4g up here at picnic tables at Lockhart Gap.
