    Hi,

I'm travelling down from Sydney for the lake mountain sprint on 1-2/12 and are looking for accom.

I will be staying friday, saturday and sunday with 4 people. We are not fussy, and are prepared to stay at anything from absolutely minimum basic to premium accom.

Any tips from the locals such as teckel about a good place to stay in Marysville or nearby towns??

I know people have been doing it down tough there with the bushfires and snow seasons that have not been favourable to that part of the world. Hopefully this rally can bring some hard earnt $ back to the local economy.

There's nowhere to eat in the evenings in Marysville. Also, Marysville has received a lot of publicity and support that nearby towns have missed out on, in particular Narbethong and Buxton, who have been pretty much left to fend for themselves. Very little accommodation in Buxton, which leaves Narby. Saladin is a superb place to stay. If you want a house or houses, try Chestnut Glade. If you want really top end, Woodlands is the go, although it's more oriented to the romantic couple (each cottage very secluded and surrounded by rain forest).
