    Hi all,

Sorry for the radio silence (we've been away on our own adventures), but never fear: Adventure Time is back with two excellent new speakers for you

Come on down to Marrickville on Thursday the 11th April to hear from:

MIKE MARTIN – London to Mongolia in a woefully ill-equipped vehicle.
    (Tales from the Mongol Rally)

In 2016, type-1 fun enthusiast Mike decided to step it up to ‘type-2 fun’ with a 19,000 km road trip to Mongolia accompanied by a good mate and his brother.

With a car purchased on the internet in Dubai airport and just one week to prepare the £1,000, 25y/o rusting heap for the mountain passes ahead, his team prioritised the construction of a wooden deck to drink Gin on the roof. Mike tells us it was a cracking deck, quite useful for spotting sump-killing-boulders on the mountain passes (that an investment in suspension would have otherwise solved).

Mike will provide the talk in a format that hooked him on Adventure Time – making previously inaccessible ideas into actionable plans and some hot tips for those interested in taking the road/track less travelled.

FLINT DUXFIELD – Baffin island adventures.

Flint Duxfield is a photographer, journalist, radio producer and self-confessed crack addict who’s climbed big rocks and tiny pebbles all around the world.

In 2016 his obsession for big granite walls lead him to Baffin Island in the remote wilderness of the Canadian arctic. It was only once he arrived that he realised the month-long expedition was mostly a very, very long hiking trip. Despite this, he did manage to climb some actual rocks in one of the most picturesque alpine climbing spots in the world.

Would love to but have a prior engagement on Thursday evening. If May edition doesn't clash with Solomons trip, I will be there with bells on.
