The LA style has Flume one night and Major Lazer the other headlining.
They would be something you'd see at a Festival with 25 other decent artists ..for 100 bucks.

If its a music festival in mid winter in Sydney - its a 5-10K crowd max . Its cold and uninviting. Sydney people barely turn up for the footy.
If its a snowboard/ski festival it needs to attract core riders/families. Yet its the busiest weekend of the snow season...so where will they be?
As for turning up for three days? how frikken boring.
Oh look its a triple cork
Oh look another triple cork
Oh look a triple cork

Think they are better off doing just before season opening when the SDS is really kicking in. Higher chance of getting more people.
The timing co-incides with the influx of all the pro riders to Australia. They always all arrive August 1st.
Hence this is part of the deal.

Remember that one at Fox studios?
and that was free.

Yes I think I do recall that one. I've been to a few rail jams back in the day at Newport Arms and Castle Hill Tav.

The Arms used to attract a decent crowd but the Castle Hill one was a major flop, hardly anyone showed up for that one so they never did it again (was put on by ESS).

Wrote it up. Spoke to White. Acted enthused. Am quite enthused. Expected cynicism here. Found cynicism here. Would I spend a few hundred bucks on this, or a weekend in Thredrisher if the snow is even half good? Everyone here knows the answer.

But I managed to get some quotes out of White about the chances of Scotty James at the Olys which I will stick in my back pocket until needed in February. Great success! :D

Yarn here btw

They said there was DJ's, food stalls, gear stalls and a kids jump / airbag area.
Yeah and the lineup for that comp was stacked. Wallisch, Henrick, Torin, Jesper and more. I've seen so much footage of it and it looked awesome. Still wouldn't pay 170 bucks though.

They'll sell some tickets, $170 is a sneeze for Sydney yuppies, whether they sell them all or get the returns they want, dunno...
