This is what the fin controller said when the bill turned up on the credit card, I knew it would be bad:eek:, she was very polite:cool: but very firm :blb:and disappointed :(I'd spent so much and already have a library:thumbs: of dps skis. The explanation that she could now use my old Wailer 99s as her touring skis cut no ice whatsoever:(. I thought it was a good plan.:)

So far I have not heard about the tax and fees bullshit bill (think about a long months worth of Coopers not purchased on special) on the credit card to get them through the Oz border/customs/whatever they call it this week.

I bought my first pair of Wailers the year they were released . I bought the non carbon model ,and it skied as you described THEN I skied the carbon model and wow , it actually had rebound but still retained the solid feel of the non carbon ( sorry can't remember actual names )maybe it suits my skiing style ....

One cannot have enough skis or enough tents!

Time to brew your own! Of course, for that you need equipment- may have to make a cash purchase!

I took my first run on my new W112s in Pure3 at Thredbo a few years ago, and wow.
Layed 'em over en piste, floated on 'em on some fresh flakes ...
Then a babe hit on me !
    Perfect day.

Hey babes hit on me all the time because of my DPS Skis. So single men out there take note.

If you’re looking for that someone special in your life, get on a pair of DPS. Works every time.

Should I have written a rider underneath?

Something along these lines “Ie in the odd event that you don’t get hit on, DPS cannot be held liable for your bad skiing, breath or looks”.

They’ll finish up not bad, you’ll only do better with lightweight end of full tech. But who wants to ride training skis?

    Close enough!!

I Like all your binding works btw. Very noice.

I note my Outlaw X pack several hundred gms more weight. The Rustler 9s ~ 600g more so - per ski. Must make quite a difference on a big tour day?

I believe so, but I'm old and grey and lazy.

Whippersnappers must use over lenght full metal park skis and Rotty Freedoms to be slowed down to my speed on the tour.

@Telemark Phat 's theory is when 75mm is dead.

But I did here rumours this season that there is something in the wind for a lighter tele boots maybe by next Northern season. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Firmer than what. Not many BC skis firmer than DPS.

Firmer than my Blizzard All mountains which are rip-offs of the Dynafit Seven Summits - light but noodles. So I’m DEFINITELY angling at DPS BC skis - only issue - the width... given mixed Aussie conditions...

Ive just bought the 2018 version, these are mind blowing for their weight. Even though my intended use is BC, they skiied the semi chopped up fresh we had the other day like knives through butter. Have never skiied DPS but can def attest to the beauty of carbon!

The report is they work. And they work better than the previous (still in the car) Green Wailers. They are damper, deal with crud better and it's easier to find the rebound. Seemed OK on ice, the Green Wailers were very good on ice until you got them way to far over on edge but that is a skier problem not a ski issue.

Was not happy with skating on them today, might have to get Adi to put structure into the base, they appear to have none.

I ordered them with Phantom as that was probably the only way I'd get it done. Not super convinced on 1 day or very variable snow. It's a time will tell thing I think.

I was in Thredbo yesterday but didn't get to ski and drove out early this morning for Falls Creek. I had some meetings there and managed to get some turns in. It was certainly spring snow but lots of fun.

How was Falls or should I look in the Falls thread?

It was good. It was the first turns I'd had for a couple of weeks so I didn't care. there was nobody there, so straight on to whatever chair you wanted. Weather was nice, sun was shining, a bit of cloud here and there but nothing to write home about. Snow was holding up OK. A bit on the wet side but not to bad.
