Hume highway is underwater (figuratively this time). Too many %)#)#ers driving as if it was bone dry, the tailgating is utterly reckless. Many others just pulled over. Terrifying and really hard to type this reply while driving

Kidding, kidding seriously I'm in the passenger seat.

Claude Cat's Claw at work over Melbourne ;):

It's amazing seeing the convection as the front hits The Tasman. Cloud tops in the -60-70C range east of Tassie (green).

Warm air advection from here on in though.

An awesome gusting wind then hard rain and a bit of flash n bang in Ryde, now steadily raining and nice and cool. Snug on the man lounge on the deck under a rug enjoying the sound of rain and the occasional distant flash bang.

Beers with BWD and a bit on net dinking after a lovely autumn weekend.

Sydney ... in the good season

No its not diabatic the low had reached the final stage.
What appears to happening on that image is the ULL was
merging with another embedded low within the flow.

    No it's just: Diabatic process
A thermodynamic change of state of a system in which the system exchanges energy with its surroundings by virtue of a temperature difference between them.

Hope so. But heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow, so probably only the one day. Just as well I suppose - as I have to go to Melbourne on Tuesday to take my 91 yr old mother to 3 medical appts (she goes into a nursing home next month)
