There are two Australian Professional Snowsports Instructor Level 1 Courses Scheduled for this winter. One at Perisher 29th and 30th of June, and one at Mt Hotham on the 27th and 28th of July. The level 1 courses are aimed at Telemarkers who might like to Instruct or just want to improve their skiing over an intensive two day course. The course will raise your Telemarking to Instructor level, you'll receive video feedback and the course will introduce you to the theory of ski instruction. They are held over two days including assesment. If you can link Telemark turns on blue runs your ready for a Level 1 Telemark course.
Thanks TP. Only curious at this stage. Have thought about it and never carried through. Not a bad price for two full days. Plus lift passes I assume. Assume one need a L2 to get serious regular gigs on mtn? But never hurts to get some independent critique’?? Oh And I understand they test alpine turns too?
The price includes the manual and membership, but not passes. The Level 1 is a introduction, the Level 2 a more serious course over 4 days and subsequent exam day. The critique is quite different to what a student in a lesson would receive. It's much more in depth an explicitly within our framework so you great a much greater understanding.
The Perisher Course has sold its minimum numbers and is going ahead. If you're keen there is still time to join in on this course.
