Same best wishes to your family. Have a blast in SP mate.
Thanks Ducky and AS. No Astro feats done without over the top passion.

That's a hunka hunka burnin' luv right there baby

They have antibiotics for that.
So out on the strip tonight before the huge crowds hit for tomorrows NYE party.
Excalibur where we are staying. Caesar's Palace and Paris.
Just don't get over enthusiastic about this renewing vows thing up on the fake Eiffel Tower
Only in Vegas
Read the ticket.
Well no Eiffel Tower but completed the Honeymoon buy taking Mrs Astro on a Gondola Ride at the Venetian.
Having a great time but wow Vegas is expensive. I think it would have been cheaper to take Mrs Astro to the real Venice.
Happy New Year from The Strip in Las Vegas. We were on the cnr of Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana.
And the fireworks we could see, were coming off Planet Hollywood and MGM Grand.
Then New Years day we travelled to Hoover Dam and took the Dam Tour.
Extremely interesting and an amazing feat. Shame it's construction claimed over 100 lives.
From the power station. But amazingly only one of the 17 turbines was working due to the lack of water.
We then walked along the road bridge for some amazing views of the dam.
Then on the drive out, some beautiful views of Lake Meade.
So our next leg was a day trip to the Grand Canyon.
Absolutely stone dead true. The first time I went to the edge and looked over. I went weak at the knees. What an amazing sight.
And today capped off another amazing view of nature. Bryce Canyon. What a thing of beauty.
You wouldn't think such a barren looking place would actually get snow. Great pics @Astro66 keep them coming.
A lot of the good skiing in the US is in a high desert. Thats why the snow is so dry.
First ski day tomorrow.
You actually ski? Since when?
Have you picked up your Epic pass yet @Astro66? How did it go?
Pick it up in half an hour. I'll let you know.
Rip it up mate, have fun.
Just presented passport. Epic passes issued.
Will work at all USA resorts.
Pics aren't loading.
Thanks @Astro66! Enjoy it. Looking forward to the photos
Yeah, yeah I'm trying.
Currently on the phone with internet provider. Internet is shagged.
Awesome pics Astro, great job
Ski pictures or it didn't happen
So I'm here at Park City.
Did a quick reckie of the mountain. This resort is MASSIVE.
Was overcast and very warm today. Inversion going on. Snow was soft. But not bad to ski on. Heavy off piste. Supposed to get cold and snow heavily Wednesday and Thursday.
Technician coming tomorrow for internet. Can only get text out till then. Sorry bro.
Coming in a bit late. But OMG I love it!!!!!
Yeah Southern Utah getting lots. 2 feet they reckon. Northern Utah not as much. But there's heaps here already. So even 20cm would be a great top up.
I thinking the warm today and tomorrow will need covering over once it re-freezes.
SW flow = good for PC.
Snowing on and off all day today. Sun came out in the afternoon. But Young Astro had a boot crisis. So we only got out in the morning, whilst it was still overcast. Great morning though.
Loving the new skis. They edge like I'm on railroad tracks. It's making me ski properly.
Still having internet issue. But I managed to get a couple of photos to upload. Video's might have to wait till we leave Park City.
Had lunch at that place in the pic of young Astro several times.
If the suns out sitting on the balcony is lovely.
That's the Lodge we are staying at directly behind us. It's about 10 steps to the snow.
Up infront of Bonanza Chairlift.
Managed to get a video to upload.
Dem new skis are cutting back your turn rate!
I enjoyed Park City, but loved parts of Canyons, check it out too. CM will know all the good spots from his time there.
Turkey Chilli in DV also......damn....major jealous !
I am hoping that Vail fixes up PCMR - I lived ski-in-ski-out to PCMR for 4 seasons and clocked up a total of about 5 days there - vastly prefer Canyons and DV.
The lifts are all in the wrong spot, the runs are off-camber and it never feels like you can lap a good area, it always feels like you're 'getting somewhere'. DV is great groomers and powder skiing in the trees, Canyons has some great steeps and lots of 'adventure skiing' on the LHS of the trail map through all the tunnels and past the houses etc which is fun with kids.
Astro carve !
It's fun eh
Astro, which knee did you do your ACL?
Damm carve skis.
These skis cut awesome railroad tracks. Looks fabulous.
