The only morning traffic you'll come across will be floating face down in the harbour with money pouring out his pockets...

Skied Hotham over the weekend - snow holding most places pretty well but the temperature was rising rapidly on Sunday afternoon. The next 72hrs won't be helpful to the cover either

A lot of warm moist air showing up on the BOM radar coming from north of Port Hedland. This can't be good.

Been just below the Pondage in Mt Beauty today on the Kiewa River. The AGL crew said they are gonna open the gates up tonight and let a lot of water out...
I'm surprised they didn't do this a day or too ago (even though a minor flood watch is current for down stream) with this weather system coming in.

Muggy feeling and drippy from the sky, Melb CBD to St Kilda Road. Enough to make you wet and annoyed, not enough to write home about.

High thin cloud and very still at Palm Beach. I observed clean 3' surf with a friend for an hour or so l just now. I also observe that I removed the ski racks from my Subaru last night so hopefully that will cause the expected r**n to turn to epic snow and force me to re-fit them.

It's taking it's time. Rain totals in the Vic Mallee are so far much less than forecast.

I was just thinking it was the kind of useless rain Melbourne is known for. Enough to be annoying, but that's about it.

Didn't stop between Ringwood and Brighton about 90 mins ago. Was just a nuisance though. Enough to make you wary on the road.

Pretty much the story here in Cheltenham also.

Ground is damp but not wet.
Overcast and gloomy. Quite a mild pleasant temp however.

    But pretty boring old day

Clouds are all very high here too. It's almost as though there is a deficit of moisture at the surface level... so far. I'm thinking that'll change to our North East soon though.

Clear and sunny here in Thredbo. A tad warm but the snow is holding up quite well, especially high. Waiting for the clouds to roll in but nothing yet.

Big downpour currently on the drive home, Irymple South in NW Vic.
Usual low areas filling quickly, with some water over road alread occurring.
Been 20min or so, and not looking like slowing at present.

Yeah, the back edge of the main rainband looks pretty volatile. Rain has eased up here. Waiting with anticipation.

Light rain and 5 degrees in Dinner Plain. Hotham AWS still dry as of 5pm and only 2 degrees from freezing.
Crossing fingers for the temps to drop a few more degrees before the moisture hits.

Fertilised my lawn in Canberra at around 6:30pm tonight in anticipation of the inbound rain and warm - ended up in a t-shirt.

Still warm, @ ~14 degrees, no rain yet and nothing significant on the radar.
