Hectic, BOM AWS has it go from -0.3C to 4.3C in half an hour. Hello sun!
Straight to the park whilst she is solid!

    And the Pipe!

I observe a rather warm but lovely August weekend it was in Sydney. Certainly felt a lot warmer out and about in the sun

Average Sydney temperature maximum in August 2015 was 19.4 and so far this year 18.4(according to BOM). Certainly feels warmer but i think maybe i just have a short memory... Forecast is for warmer weather so that average may head up for 2016. :)

Yeah was driving to work thinking how nice it would be on the golf course. And I haven't put the heater on here yet - first day this winter.

Regrettably I must report that it is also a cracker of a day in Leura.

The Kalgoorlie super pit at 500m deep could have been used to build WA biggest mountain just keep pilling it on to 2000m in the south west and get heaps of snow. Off topic sorry.

Clear in Perisher this morning. We're in a sheltered spot towards the bottom of the Telemark T but I heard the wind in the night. No freeze overnight at Village level according to the BOM observations page.

On days like this in Melbourne you can actually hear the snow melt. It's like a rip in the force.

Clear skies in Hotham this morning. Seems pretty windy up here though (in Davenport). Hoping it dies down a little later. Was decent skiing up top yesterday but pretty soggy down low as you would expect. Pretty patchy lower down on Blue Ribbon and Davenport Access Trail involved some walking. Can't complain though, plenty of decent snow considering the lack of assistance from mother nature.
