I wasn't really sure where to put this, but to keep with the spirit of similar threads I thought it could be a good idea to get a roll call happening for Australia this season.

Thredbo, 2 days a week, I will pick the two best days each week, based on the cams, and the weather thread gurus here. I have found that if you can go quick, its very reliable 3 days out or so.

And some backcountry of course.

No longer periods for me this year

All sorted!

Do you own a place in Jindy Donza?
Hai..
strictly speaking its a van and annexe, but it measures up pretty big..we gutted it a couple of years ago..fitted it out like a unit

makes going to the snow easy, but to be honest we get more enjoyment out of it summer

I'll be at perisher for a week from Aug 1, and hopefully every second weekend from season start. Got to make the most of it this year, expecting a baby towards the end of the year

I will be in Jindy on and off for weekends - no skiing for me this season unfortunately, so might try some snow shoes, look around shops for new gear for January trip and maybe try snowboard if my physio approves in late August? Oh yeah, and cooking for all the lucky buggers that will ski / ride

Yep. All going well 2 months post - op, but not skiing until January. Just taking pics of my skis to post it on eBay so I can get new ones for next year. Gives me something to do rather than being snow deprived, not able to get excited about the coming season, loser

Hey Sara - if you are keen to get on the cross country skis you are welcome to come snow camping with the boys if you are willing to cook for us.

Why not! But when you say snow camping, do you have a big gas cooker or would that be a bonfire? Nothing like bonfire under the sky full of stars!
Will have to hire some cross country stuff . I used to do few cross country days here and there years ago, hopefully will remember some. All I remember now is that I thought it was all hard work and no reward as in sliding a proper hill

We'll be in Falls the last week of august and hopefully perisher sometime in July for a week. Not as long as I would like this year but hopefully we might go OS or organise something longer next year when the youngest of our family is more ski friendly.

Ben Lomond- hopefully whenever there is enough snow for the lifts to run. Might even throw a weekend mission to Perisher in, if I can make it work

Just relocated away from Sydney. Can do pre-dawn breakfasts and home again for dinner trips....often, with son. Some on weekdays....like Wednesday say when in front country, you can ski onto lift without queue making the most of fresh instead of being at work.Yeah!

Looks like I'm by myself this year with 2/3 family finishing degrees and doing post grad or job hunting. I'll probably do NZ in Jul and PB/Threders in Aug. I'm open to offers and suggestions.

I'm in Jindy year round. Will ski weekends at PB (unless I get a different job) plus a couple of weeks annual leave in August. Hoping to make a trip to Hotham for a few days. And as it's hard to beat Thredbo on a good day, I may just do the odd day there and ski with the +1 and/or friends.

Nice thread smitty484

Nothing definite for me yet, as I have booked New Zealand!

Maybe a day or four at Mt Buller if the snow delivers.

Will cherry pick the best days with fresh snow
