    From https://www.saalbach.com/en/service/infrastructure/skicircus-circuits_a_1720
The cooperation with Fieberbrunn lift company enabled the extension of the skiing route range in the Skicircus. The key figures of the Skicircus Challenge are impressive: The lifts make it possible to experience the slopes of the Skicircus locations Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn and traverses 72 km and 12,500 metres in altitude. If you include short breaks, we are talking about a whole day tour which is probably the longest of its kind in the Alps.
Brochures with essential information regarding the Skicircus tours can be picked up at the ski ticket counters and the Tourism Service Center.

You beauty, just pop down to the ticket office, pick up a brochure and I can do without my ski guide for the day.

I now have a finer appreciation of Austrian humor...

First up, no specific brochure exists, you need to take a trail map and plot your own course. Over 72km traversing and 12,500m of vertical in a foreign country, what could go wrong...
Next, surely they'd have the course signposted... haha silly DSNS, only put signs in sparingly in places where it doesn't matter...
That 8:30am bus to take you to the start... lololol... not on a Saturday, it's a changeover day! You get to walk!

    Those Austrians are really funny.

With that said, I did get to see all areas they mentioned.

This place is huge. It was like a big treasure hunt going around the circuit.

And the stats are pretty similar to that advertised.

I didn't take too many pictures on the way around, the focus was on good navigation. Also the trail maps say they close the key interlink gondolas ~4ish so you can be assured you can make it back before dawn. I kid you not, that Austrian humor coming out again.

Signs of the bluebird day ahead.

@Kletterer would probably know where this is :)

@Normo would love this place ! The Austrian humor is catching !

Yeah don't rush out til you're feeling better @Kletterer! I found it very crispy and lots of icy spots which made me speed check and lose confidence. Needs more snow. My Aussie mates found it good but they haven't ridden Europe much.

The knee held up ok. Some pain on bumps but I can still ride, which is the main thing.

Today was indeed a Kaiserwetter Tag. Nothing but blue sky and no wind.

Good work on the skicircus! It was more than big enough before but now with Fieberbrunn linked it is quite an undertaking to do it all in a day. When I was there 3 years ago, we did a circuit Leogang, Saalbach, Hinterglemm and then back stopping only for a late lunch on the Leogang side around 3pm. Fieberbrunn wasn't linked at that time so it was a seperate day.

It is important to have an idea of timing so you know when to work back to your starting point, but at least here you still have the free shuttle buses between various valley points. At least it isn't like Zermatt/Cervenia or Porties du Soliel where you may end up stuck in the wrong country at the end of the day!

If you liked that another one you could try another time would be Obertauern.

This is probably why the Sella Rhonda circuit is so popular in the Dolomites. It is incredibly easy to navigate and all piste maps have the circuit clearly highlighted. Coloured signs for different routes help when you are flying down runs and checking you are heading in the right direction at speed (eg: all runs to the Sella Rhonda are in Orange or such). Sounds like great fun once you get over the anxiety of knowing you can get back home by a certain time of the day. Love the reports!

So the light blue lines at the top are the lifts you catch going up and down right? But the dark blue blocks at the bottom have me confused. Is that the amount of beer you schedule in to drink per hour/day? That's a lot of beer!!!!!!

it’s a great place to ski but there are issues in getting around, and importantly as you say, back by the close of the last lift
this was very clear to me when I was skiing with the Dolomites Ski Tours guides, the only time I’ve ever signed up for such a deal

Good to hear about the knee @XTREMO . Bluebird day -not a breath of wind and better surfaces than yesyerday according to DSNS. Pics are from Westgipferl- top one looking at Zwolferkogl area. Bottom pic looking at the Hohe Tauern. Directly above the front apex of the hut is the pointy peak Kitzsteinhorn.

Feeling better now @Kletterer ? Sorry we didn't get to catch up man. As per the trip report I just posted, it was hectic and I was just hanging with my mate and his fam the whole time. My neighbour didn't end up coming; he's stuck in Fuerta Ventura as his daughter hasn't been well and they couldn't fly back to DE.

Please don't tell me this was the first time you decided to wash! Most people, excluding Poms, wash each day, particularly if skiing in company.

    Upper areas shut today.
Made the call to head down the valley to Shoenleiten. Upper half and Poltenlift was good till it shut at 11 am due to the storm so we did laps of lower Shoenleiten. Lovely pow off the side of the pistes. We had a ball today :)

Some pictures from today. Pow everywhere !

So nice to get some fresh snow after skiing the boilerplate the last week.

They closed the top half of the mountain, then the bottom half of the hill as well. We took shelter halfway down in one of the huts dotted around the countryside. 2 cups of coffee into it :)

New googles are great! This is at the bottom of the run after skiing boot deep in lovely fresh pow :) It's what we came looking for and Saalbach delivered big time.

@Kletterer doesn't mind a bit of fresh pow either.

    Snow everywhere !

Morning was a bit flat light so it was head for the fabulous treed fields out wide ( skiers left ) of Zehnerbahn. Headed over to Hochalm for lunch and the hope that the clouds would lift. Lucky for us it did , so it was time to don the beacons and head up to Spieleck. No slides visible anywhere about today but stuck to very familiar territory--- ( here and the Hochalm drop). Good to see DSNS on some steeper ground. Oh and for you folks in Oz= Thigh deep

I'm just stoked my mates got dumpage for the last 36 hours of their week in Sallbach. Kids were rapt and he got a couple of hours powder thrashing before heading off yesterday. They did horse and cart ride through the village on Tue night in the snow. Crowned a great week for them.
