Just an idea but has anyone thought of organizing a backcountry SIC? Same as the resort one it could move to a different location each year and held at a later date so people could go to both if they wanted. Also later date would possibly be better for the weather. ??????????
We had a backcountry mini SIC last year but it ended up with only 3, after lots of people said they would go.
Well I've suggested a Hoppet-SIC in the relevant as a number of us will be around then, noone has said anything much about it though.. As for a proper BC SIC i'm doubting we will have a weekend with decent enough conditions for the rest of this season (not that it can't still happen).. :-(
SIC is a gathering of folk from these parts.. it's acronym comes from the old name of this site. Sno Info Conference. Now I guess it can be Ski.com.au Initiated Conference or some such. The official once a year SIC was recently held at Falls .. info about SIC can be found by the powers of search. Mini Sic occur frequently..see arrangments. Participants have been referred to as SiCos .. arguements persist on the most appropriate way of pronoucing this. Sicko or Psycho? Both at times seems apt.
