Just hoping folk will put amazing airfare deals up here when they see them. To places like Japan, Europe, NA etc with a focus on ski season
Wanted to like it... But. I've found best fares using a combination of email alerts from all the aggregators. Then booking on the airline website.
Set mulitiple prices alerts - say 10 per route using a combination of close dates on each of the websites , eg skyscanner, google flights etc. subscribe to every airline's mailing list follow FB pages that offer up "specials" Check flight prices in the AM and PM .. prices swing alot. My last flights would change between $1600 to $850 in the course of a a few days . Booking 9 months out is the statistical sweet spot for prices.
Nope. Its under 6 weeks (conscious of the fact that doesn't work for a lot of people) But the above sounds like hard work! I always put in rough dates in hopper. Then when I get an alert I play around with dates. Last year's japan trip was booked with less than 13 days to wheels up. The trip before to the US was just shy of a month out. Both trip under a grand total and on QF The most recent trip to Japan was about a month but that was on FF points (most people thinks that’s impossible too!)
I ran all my alerts and used hopper up until five days before we left. Hopper was a bit over double what I paid by then. Airline website was near triple $900 vs $2400. Reason why... I had a price guarantee and my airfare. From CX. This was early January departure.
Aren't Air Asia offering unlimited travel for a year for $181? I think you have to be Malaysian to get in on it, though.
$700 return flights SYD-LAX during the July20 school hols is pretty compelling. Available on Virgin and American airlines.
A lovely compassionate man . Mad as Hell do a good parody of one of his proteges from Dept of Home affairs.
J-star cheap flights sale to ZQN From$179^ 26 Apr 20 - 17 Jun 20 One way only. 05 Aug 20 - 22 Sep 20 One way only.
With air NZ already struggling - Qantas have record low sale fares to NZ https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/qantas-brisbane-new-zealand-sale/
We booked MEL-NZQN for late April a couple of weeks ago and it was not cheap. Easter was looking expectedly horrendous. Wonder if there'll be cancellations and a few bargains to pick up?
Is that a good deal? I think I'd rather take the $960 economy fare via ANA personally, but I dont really rate PE. If you wanted a Nadi stopover you could go Fijian business class for $2,600 but that isnt exactly direct!
Cathay Pacific are offering unlimited changes free of charge on all new tickets. You’ll probably want travel insurance to cover the cost of your airfare should CP fall into receivership before your scheduled date of departure though.
How about travel insurance to pay for your stay in a local hospital in you get COVID-19! Pity you can't get it.
Looking at Business Class fares to Tokyo early Feb, there was a low $2.6K fare with a 3hr stopover in ..... Nandi. QF was $3.7k direct. (GoogleFlights) Unfortunately too much uncertainty with airline operations at this time.
