Roof collapse last night at Snow Ghost Inn. Area above pool and atrium. Believed at this time that no one was injured.
Given the end of the season occurred in mid March, makes you wonder if they laid off workers and hence didn't stay on top of clearing snow from the roof for the last month when you're in a winter weather.
That was the first thing to occur to me as well. They're in a big snow year, but not the biggest ever. Snowpack at or near peak, no one doing any snow removal, or minimal at best. Data attached is from the Mission Creek snow station, 15-20 km north of BW and at 1780 m, slightly higher elevation than the village and similar aspect.
Lucky there was no-one there by the looks of it As oreo suggests- might be a maintenance issue due to early staff departures with covid
Not a builder but you'd like to know how they were supporting that roof between the uprights @sly_karma
