I'll ski them first week of March.

Still predict that the Brahma 82 is the Brahma to get and the Enforcer 88 is the better ski of that style

Are there any differences that the normal skier can feel with the construction changes the ski manufacturers roll out each year? Or is this all marketing hype to get skiers to upgrade to the new model?

CarveMan, did you get a chance to jump onto any of the new blizz skis? I like the bones/Brahma and ride them in a 180, but curious to know how the new 183 would be?

Nope sorry mate, unfortunately the ski test got Corona'd. One week too late. You're a solid guy so I wouldn't be afraid of 3 more cm tbh.

I also shouldn't pass up this opportunity for some shameless self-promotion - 2021 Blizzards are in-store, and at a pre-season sale price of -15% until the lifts start turning whenever that may be.

The blue and black top sheet on those Brahmas are mint.
    Black Pearls look cool too.

Hey CarveMan, just wondering if you have any more info on the Brahma 82s, pretty much the same as the 88s but narrower?

Yeah pretty much! Same construction, similar rocker profile, similar intent just narrower. I really liked it - it's like a GS ski with some width.

Awesome thanks, sounds pretty fun. I'm 187cm and a 85 kg tele skier, would you be recommending the 180 or 187? From what I've heard the 187 brahma is a bit of a beast

Not being a Tele skier I don't know how that specifically effects things, but at your height/weight you could go either way, but on the 187cm you would need to be prepared for it to be a lot of ski, 180cm could be a little safer.

+1 recently purchased Black Pearl 82 after her 88's de-laminated. Guess she still likes Blizzard skis. They look the same layup as the Brahmas just a slight geometry change for women.
She says- Awesome front side toy that carves and bumps, great for our conditions.
AndyCrow make sure you got ntn to drive the boards.

Agreed. I'd have to say the bonafides and rustler 10s take the cake for this year's blizz design award imo haha. Just love the clean lines of this year's design.

The Brahma going from black to red and the Bonafide going from red to black is doing my head in though!

Haha I have to agree! At least the bones has a red trim. Hopefully it performs well off piste as it used to considering they are saying on blister that this could potentially be the best model of it yet. Just need to decide on a binding.. been a marker griffon guy for ages but people keep saying to start looking into pivots. I like the knee saving idea of them and the low stack height. Any thoughts on binding choice?

I’ve never had issues with Griffons. Pivots have good elasticity but they’re also heavy and expensive.
