    Hi All,

Heading to the Mt Buller on Wednesday with the kids. Can anyone please tell me whether the top end of Bourke St is groomed and open as they are still learning?

Last year the Mt Buller website stated that "Bourke St" was open, but on arrival, only the botton end was in action.

    Regards - DMB

Alco, are you getting confused with the top of Baldy? The top of bourke st is where the BB1 lift ends, while Baldy is where the BB2 lift ends.

Both Baldy and Bourke st are open at the moment.

On Wednesday there should be fresh snow everywhere.

went up yesterday (Sat) Bourke and Baldy were open and had good coverage which held up really good all day and only got moved around as opposed to melting which was surprising as it was so warm up there [IMG] MickM is right though by then there will be some nice fresh stuff for you and the kids to enjoy

looking at these two, together, should give you an idea. Available from ski.com.au, right here! [IMG]

Incidentally, it would be worth checking the Cam History as well. To see where and how many punters are using Bourke Street, from 9am on... [IMG]

Alco, you must be confusing Bourke St with Baldy. Bourke St is covered by only one lift, Blue Bullet 1. The second chair up the ridge, Blue Bullet 2, covers the Baldy run. The bottom of Baldy runs into the top of Bourke St (the 'top' of Bourke St is the area from the Arlberg Hotel to Helicopter Flat/Ski School).

Yes Bourke St and Baldy are both open now. Bourke St is groomed every night, Baldy is groomed depending on where it is needed.

This season is already making last season look like crap [IMG] I was there on opening weekend (saturday) and there was way more snow than mid august last year!

absolutely, we did opening weekend last year, and opening weekend this year (Friday-Monday) and this year is looking heaps better. thinking about heading up again for a day trip this weekend, but need to suss out what they are doing with lift ticket prices. There seems to be no mention of the discounted lift tickets anymore. [IMG]

    Thanks guys for the info.

In regards to my reference to the top end of Bourke St, I was going by the Mt Buller run and lift map which shows that Bourke St runs from bottom of BB1 to the top of BB2 with Baldy more to the south next to the terrain park.

Anyway the main thing there is snow and fingers crossed its going to be a better season than last year. That shouldn't be too hard. See you on the slopes!

    Regards

As I believe it, Alco is right. Bourke St runs directly parallel to the BB1 AND BB2 lifts. Baldy is set further over on skiers right and to the right of the ABOM chair.

As Dave Clark has already mentioned, Bourke St only runs the length of BB1, Baldy is BB2
