    LOL
    Notes:
    - Sugadaira looked EXACTLY the same as Happo in those days. ;)
    - Nakiyama looks just as crowded.... as Buller in the 80s.
    - Are you sure it was 1980/1990? The chairs look exactly the same.
    - The grooming has improved
    - Thank goodness the big shoulders are gone
    - .... and the rear entry boots too.

I still sometimes see skiers around 70 years old wearing the bubble economy era jackets (very colorful and flashy ones) even now, which means they keep wearing the same jackets for 30 years:p?

My ski jacket is 31 years old. My ski pants are 33 years old. Nothing wrong with 'em.

During my season in Tsuigake in 1989 I was gifted 6 of the best ski suits ever. The boss would hold out the neatly packaged suit, bow respectfully and say "tonight" in his busted English which meant I was joining his crew for night skiing. Descente with the the big gold insignia and others with shoulder pads big enough for today's widest skis.

Glorious bubble, pity it was a warm wet winter

This is a video that amateur high school students made, naming "Bubbly Dance". The outfits, hair styles and makeups, all are typical bubble economy era's ones. They are teenagers, and their parents were around 20+ years old during the bubble economy eraLOL.

Perhaps they can do it as garments were made to last. I have had many hand -me-downs ski clothes when I was a kid and they still did their job.
Since I have taken up snowboarding, I have noted that materials may be better but clothes last a couple of seasons only if used intensively.
