I also noticed that past Yarra Glen the speed limit now drops to 80 just before de bortelli and goes back to 100 half way through the overtaking lane just past the Kinglake turnoff, massive money spinner that one, cops will have a field day.
I'm not sure if this was in place last season or not because i didn't visit the area.

It only changed over the last few weeks. There was a short 80km/h section
after an accident a year or so back when a truck crossed over into a lady
towing a horse float was killed. The truck was hanging over the guard rail on
the inside of the corner, and almost touching the rail on the other side. Another
death happened earlier this year, on the bridge at the bottom of the hill going
    north, below the Kinglake turnoff.

When I left, it was a baitch of a summer, everything was so brown and dry. We had bushfires. Again. :tany:

Loving returning home now to everything being so green, and with splashes of Autumn. It's so vivid - it is really this green, or are my eyes so used to white and blue at Tahoe, followed by several weeks of cities/concrete?!

It's really beautiful to see. And feel - this gorgeous Autumn with whispers of winter. . . :) Love it.

And I also discover Buller is offering a 6-day pass for $499 again. (Gosh, I almost want to yell; Bonza mate! But I shan't do that, as I'd be smacked. And deservedly so. LOL )

But excellent. Well done, Buller.

Buller will start snowmaking when the conditions are appropriate to do so. At the moment, it is far too warm and it is too early anyway.

Colourful Trees in Mansfield. Winter's coming!

I'm calling Mansfield home now so Mt Buller will be my snow base from now on.

    @Ian D & @Richard

I always feel a sense of loss when the Aussie skifields section is relegated to a place at the bottom of the forum page. <sad pout>

But oh-so-sweet when it returns higher in the hierarchy again. The first sign that the Aussie season is imminent. . . :woohoo::woohoo:

It's the biggest thing I've attempted. It might seem small for many, but for me it is quite big, me without any direct experience. There is lots of worry, excitement, confusion and happiness all at the same time.

Soon enough. Since the construction/fitting/decoration is still going on, I need a bit more time for it to complete so that I can have some photos to accompany my introduction :D

I hope it will be sometime around mid next month.

Buller will have an extra 10% water for snow making this winter, due to an
extra catchment at the bottom of Howqua. The snow making Dam is full
again after repairs earlier in the summer.

Involving food, yes, but not on the main street :D

Quite a few new establishments are popping up, aren't they? Saw announcement on the paper. None of those are ours. We need a bit more time.
