    What a load of vape
The medical center far predates the RMB
We had a supermarket already, it was called Molonies
The athletes walks is patent waste of money and we all l know it was an RMB white elephant that has not enhanced Buller or improved its amenities one iota, let alone attracted anyone to Buller.
Concreting the roads ?, now that has to be a joke.

Not this one, because everyone who has ever skied Buller over some period knows exactly what "The road Block" is, its there every weekend.
And it all due to the fact the RMB still operates resort entry via abacus and homing pigeon instead of computer that apparently they cant afford to implement, which only begs the question, where the hell did all the money go.

If Molonies was still open it would be selling the same things foodwork's do
Does RMB own Foodworks, if not how is the RMB responsible for its existence at Buller ?

Med Centre has been reno'd before and will be again when it stars to fall apart like everything at Buller.
Doesn't need an RMB to do a reno

Athletes walk is a path, we have them at Buller and have in the past, only this is the first time anyone actually turned a pathway it onto a Dog and Pony show because it has no other achievements to speak of..

Concrete roads are not impervious to Ice and sealing the road to allow more vehicular traffic on the resort village so the RMB could make a cash cow out of village vehicle access permits, but that just the bleeding obvious to most.

    White Elephant, google it.

Buller needed a cinema like a hole in the head before everything else it needed, like computing to control resort entry instead of pencils and abacus.
Restoration of what at Cow Camp ?

    Council already do rubbish.
    Sewerage is the water company.

I wonder if there was a web cam at the Mirimbah Café pointing at the entry gate and Buller road full time to show the massive lines at the gate to prospective visitors how long it would take for the RMB to go into damage control.

This is the most entertaining this thread has been in ages.

@Jellybeans1000 it's great to have a rep of the RMB posting here. Gives a different perspective. Hope you stick around.

Maybe time for ski.com to set one up! It still boggles my mind that the gate is all manually run. Geezus, CityLink has been around for 20 years now and that works with cars doing 100kms/hr. And now they want to force everyone to stop in summer as well.

Can anyone post a link to the RMBs annual report and financials?

Yes true for BSL because they give zero focks and such.
But in light of this thread I suspect the RMB gives lot and being seen to be doing shit matters.
If some head comes to tell us how frigin ace the athletes walk is, again, it says to me they give all focks about any RMB hating.
    Scared of bad press.

    Or
I go up there doing a video flog being all belligerent about it and see if they try to take it down at YouTube and if they lodge a claim we can hammer the jenkem out of them on social media for it.
Call it "Mt Buller RMB fail dicks"
Is that a bad idea too ?

    Athletes walk...
$600k of concrete, we spend $20k a year warming up, to melt snow on...

    Bourke Street...
the place 20' over, which when spend another heap of electricity making snow on...

at a place where you might think global warming could be important.

For the last time, I don't work for the RMB.

I think you got my point
I don't care about the cinema but look at everything else the RMB does.

Concrete roads. which are poorly maintained and falling apart, they keep
putting patches over the broken sections to cover up the reo sticking out
only concrete has little strength, less the 100mm thick, so it breaks away
    before the end of winter.

It would be kept together if it weren't for the hundreds of people going up and down it and it doesn't affect performance.
I don't know anyone personally who works for the RMB but I know a few working for BSL

There are much larger problems at Buller like The top of Standard, the New Dam and the 'Snow Squads'

in lighter news the VS cam ( which is not run by the RMB ) is back on line. I had a mate up there so, given there's one weather in the forecast, I thought it might be good to kick things off now. @DbSki - everything seems ok, but perhaps you can just double check everything is running smoothly from your end?

I don't see a point in a Village Square cam which probably costs hundreds to run

BSL and the RMB cams are sufficient

It's is without question the best snow cam in Victoria. It actually shows when it's snowing and how much. The other cams are useless.

If you don't recognise this you're not a skier. Go away.

Yes it does show how much it snows but get this- it doesn't actually show the slopes where you actually ski. But in fairness to you guys, I will use it to check the opening hours of Buller Sports :p

For you to sink in that spending more than $1500 on a camera looking at Buller Central is a complete waste of money. I like Indy snow cams as long as they are in useful places. Perfect position could be on Arlberg out towards Shakey knees
